Awesome! Thanks for the in-depth reply. That's what I was hoping for.

Or that screaming crap kids listen to these days.

Screaming? I thought it was mumbling out words over some chillwave beats before dying of an Oxy overdose.

Apple....pffft. Frank Gehry, "bro".

Imagine how incredible iPhone sales would be if they had the same headphone giveaway program? But Tim Apple would rather cut off both his hands and one of his feet than give away a free pair of Airpods with each iPhone purchased.

Also why are we comparing a product from 2016 to one that just came out in 2019? Doesn't seem really fair and balanced.... Especially when the new airpods are right around the corner.

I have had and still use the it pods and these galaxy buds whoops their ass simple as that. If air pods don’t hold a candle to the galaxy pods

Why do we never get a shot on video or in the article of people actually wearing these wireless headphones? I can only assume that they look totally ridiculous on everyday people? Anyway, speaking as an airpod owner, how they look on a human is an important thing to be able to compare between devices...

I'll just assume you are referring to Apple copying Samsung who both released wireless ear buds and a wireless chargeable case before Apple did.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but, wasn't Samsung also the first to release a smartwatch? Are we going to call the Apple watch a copy of Samsungs Galaxy Gear, too?

The product names probably won't be a significant differentiator to most people, but it's hard to imagine anyone using "Galaxy Buds" in a normal conversation. Can you imagine saying, "honey, have you seen my Galaxy Buds?"

Wireless charging is a big deal, but the shape of the AirPods case is much more practical. It's non-bulgy, for those of us who carry the case in our front pockets. No one wants someone to think, "does that guy have Buds in his pocket?," Galaxy or otherwise. It's also easier to hold the bottom of the AirPods case when getting the headphones out, which is important when on the go.

All that said, Samsung people will choose the Galaxy Buds (a name that makes me cringe even when typing it) and Apple people will choose AirPods, so despite their differences, this boils down to an equalizing move by Samsung.

If you use most forum members in this forum's logic in here then sure. The only point I was making is that Samsung certainly didn't copy Apple's airpods. Especially when Samsung was first to market and the design galaxy pods is a as different as can be from airpods.

You're not wrong, but shareholders would likely do the same. Samsung can afford a little bit of risk here as they need to rebound from the S9. Agree with your second point completely though.

Do your research Samsung released wireless buds before Apple. Plus these designs look nothing alike. But if anyone copied it certainly isn't the company that was first to market. Hint Hint
"Nothing alike"? There are so many similarities. Yeah, the Samsung buds are in ear, but the case especially looks so similar.
Yes they are nothing alike in ear vs loose ear is worlds apart when it come to earphones. Samsung's case design is pretty much the same as their original https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Cordfree-Fitness-Earbuds-Activity/dp/B01F8FWSGA which came out before airpods.

Nice thing about the Samsung ear buds is you don't look like a complete idiot when you're wearing them.
No, the constant staring down at your screen while in a crosswalk takes care of that...

If the AirPods has the same fit as the EarPods I can't use them. My ear canal is too narrow and it hurts to force them in. Whish there could be some sort of in-ear silicon top as an option much like the samsung pods.

There are also people have the opposite problem - AirPods sitting too loose in one or both ears.

If people complain about the AirPods not fitting them properly, then it's the person's fault for not having the proper anatomy to use Apple products.

But if someone buys a different product from Jabra or Samsung, then he will be ridiculed for not buying the AirPods.

Huh? Your point is no video of how they look? Youtube? Tons of videos of how great they look

Samesung strikes again. The charger is like a hearing aid / medical device. Everything is 1.5 times bigger than what Apple designed and built OVER 2 YEARS AGO. The UI for pairing on the phone is exactly the same just the graphics have much less care - I see no fresh or even evolutionary thinking. There is no soul, sensitivity or empathy in their product.

Nothing like a singular event (it's nothing like the Note 7 issues) from 3 years ago.
Which was from a guy who posted it online and then everyone started trying to set their batteries on fire for show off and grab money from Samsung.
Don't worry there are more than singular issues with iPhones exploding... Let Google do the job for you.
Better a company with issues and has the guts to make the right thing, instead one stating you're using the product wrong and needing tons of lawsuits to open up "repair programs".

Sure with (google "How many phones have been sold since 2007") 700 million iphones some of those li-ion batteries will have issues. But nothing like the Note 7 recall or aircraft ban. Understand maybe some snarkiness here, but still posting a singular even is meaningless out of 700 million iphones.

Because from 700 million users all of them would report issues? You're embarassing yourself everytime you comment.

Smmfh the responses in this thread is hilarious n honestly cant represent someone thinking. Damn. You would have to kidding yourself to think that the galaxy buds are not on par with the air pods with MORE OPTIONS SMDH. I HAVE THE AIRPODS N XS MAX AND CAN ADMIT THAT
