1-2 hours extra of continuous usage trumps how many times the case can charge them.

I hear you but what are the chances of anyone being with earphones 7 hours listening continuously? I don't even think that is healthy! I personally don't listen to more than 2 or 3 hours without a break! And 15 min break can give me another 3 hours listening. I only charge me AirPods once a week. And the less often case gets charged, more life spam of it. Based on what I have read, buds don't even come close in the battery life to AirPods.

In my experience ..... Galaxy Buds vs AirPods

Sound quality ... Galaxy Buds.

Fit ... Galaxy Buds.
Should vary with different sized ears, but Samsung includes differ sized tips and wings(for lack of better word).

Design ... Galaxy Buds.
Cotton balls are better than Q-tips. :p

Ease of putting in and out of ear ... AirPods.
You just grab it and throw them in your ear, and just as easy when taking them off. When placing the Galaxy Buds in your ear, you have to also twist it so the wings will lock in your ear. It's also not as easy to take out of the ear as the Airpods.

Reliable fit ... Galaxy Buds.
AirPods are much more likely to fall out my ear vs the Galaxy Buds. The Galaxy Buds are a pretty solid fit.

Case ... I'm going to call this one a draw.
Both cases are tiny and very pocketable. The shape of the AirPods case and higher battery capacity gives it the edge. But Galaxy Buds case has USB-C charging port, wireless charging, and an external led light.

Battery Life ... Galaxy Buds

I guess fit is subjective... but the case and battery life are clearly better with the AirPods. To say otherwise is nonsensical.

If the AirPods has the same fit as the EarPods I can't use them. My ear canal is too narrow and it hurts to force them in. Whish there could be some sort of in-ear silicon top as an option much like the samsung pods.

Well, saying battery life is better on buds when apparently the case only holds 7 hours of battery versus 24 hours of battery life on the Apple one is just plain laughable. And you never said why!
Well even then I don't see what's so amusing. The Galaxy Buds themselves do have better battery life.
Also taking in consideration how big is the battery in the Galaxy Buds case, Samsung is obviously lowballing with those 7 hours.

And don't get me started on the design!

Really? What's so amusing regarding the design? The fact that it's praised by the majority who used the buds?

And the case is larger for the buds!

How much larger exactly?

But as you said, this is based on your experience and opinion so no point arguing about it.

Well the fact that it's based on usage experience doesn't mean it's incorrect.
There's no point rolling on the floor laughing. You are being overdramatic.

Clearly you are "good" at maths.

They look like either bug or lumps in your ear in my opinion. By the majority? Care to share your statistics of how many have been using them and how many of them did prise them? I will be waiting for these stats, otherwise, it is just noise!

How much larger exactly?

Does it matter how much larger exactly? When it comes to mobile devices/accessories, the smaller the better and not the opposite.

I did not say "ROFL" I said if you didn't include "In my own experience" at the start, I would have ROFL, and believe me, I would have. It is up to me who do I chose to believe and who I don't.

Is it just me or the Buds looks nothing like the Airpods?

The only design choice that could be considered Apple's idea is having long stems, and the Buds don't have that.

AirPods battery life: 5 hours listening or 2 hours talking

Buds battery life: 6 hours listening or 5 hours talking

AirPods battery life: 5 hours listening or 2 hours talking + 3 hours of listening after just 15 min charge

Buds battery life: 6 hours listening or 5 hours talking

AirPods Case 24 hours of charge time versus only 7 hours on buds

Here, I added a few facts you don't seem to keen to share with us.

Here, I added a few facts you don't seem to keen to share with us.

Yes the Apple case has a larger battery because it doesn't support wireless charging. The AirPods themselves have smaller batteries that mean more charging cycles and shorter life.

BTW if you have a Samsung S10 or other reverse charge phone you Buds battery life is approximately 3 days of listening.

I mean continuously as in, they are in your ear or not in the charger. This includes stand-by life, phone convos, and etc. Ofcourse having a 7 hour music marathon is not the norm.

To the thread...

I prefer the look of the Galaxy Buds but like the ergonomics of the AirPods.

Those stylus don't even look alike in any way...

What does that have to do anything? Apart from convenience, what other benefits does wireless charging provide? I personally charge my AirPods once a week (and I use them every day) so I wouldn't give a flying monkey if it takes me 2 seconds extra to plug it on a wire! (usually done on a bedtime)

BTW if you have a Samsung S10 or other reverse charge phone you Buds battery life is approximately 3 days of listening.

Yes, that is fine and dandy but it would still be draining that power from the phone anyway and l, if I have to be honest, finding myself in a situation when I have run out of battery while using AirPods, has been like...... zero times. Even though AirPods are over 2 years old, compare to newly announced galaxy buds, based on the specs and design, I would still take them anytime instead of the buds. But that's just me.

Your reading comprehension is the problem not my math.

Yes by the majority that tried the buds and express their opinion online. I didn't see any objective reviews that criticized the design(not even on Pixel fan sites like Android Police).
I've only seen Samsung haters like you on forums "complaining" about the design of Galaxy Buds.

Does it matter how much larger exactly? When it comes to mobile devices/accessories, the smaller the better and not the opposite.
If it doesn't matter exactly how larger it is what did you mention it? Because you are just trying to trash talk a product from a company you hate.
I did not say "ROFL" I said if you didn't include "In my own experience" at the start, I would have ROFL, and believe me, I would have. It is up to me who do I chose to believe and who I don't.

LoL
But I get it Galaxy Buds are quite a decent product that's why you are so salty over them.

Aesthetically, I prefer the Galaxy Buds case. Along with what I already mentioned in my intial post.

Silly Billy, lol! I don't hate Samsung (even though they are usually good at copying others) There is a lot of stuff that Samsung does great, particularly displays.
But if you come up here presenting your opinion as a fact when it clearly isn't, you will get people questioning it. And when that gets pointed out to you, you seem to prefer accusing others of being haters instead of taking it up like a man. That would be like me, for example, saying, the only people who say Galaxy Bugs (sorry, buds) have a compelling design are Samy's fanbois.

This comparison is about as useful as a comparison of two televisions without ever mentioning picture quality.

EDIT: I guess I'm supposed to watch the video to learn about audio quality. They couldn't summarize in the text?

You don't hate Samsung? That's new and very very hard to notice. You're not even fair to them most of the time and you keep insisting on the general/universal idea that they just copy Apple(or copy something, anything just so you can say something negative about them).
But if you come up here presenting your opinion as a fact when it clearly isn't, you will get people questioning it.
It's not an opinion but an objective observation.
I did some research on Samsung Galaxy buds and watched quite a lot of reviews of all kinds.
I've only seen Samsung haters criticize the design.

Well man if you hate Galaxy buds so much why do you insist on filling up every article about them with your "opinions"?
That would be like me, for example, saying, the only people who say Galaxy Bugs (sorry, buds) have a compelling design are Samy's fanbois.
So that means that most reviewers online are "Samy's fanbois". Correct? Great logic.

The audio quality would go to the Galaxy Buds, that's why they didn't mention it.
There are quite a lot of reviews that do compare the audio quality.

Via TheVerge review by Vlad Savov:

"These are easily Samsung’s best true wireless earphones, but they suffer from a few too many engineering missteps to be considered a serious contender."

Did they bother using the equaliser settings for the bass or just decide the default level wasn't what they like?

The first Apple Stylus actually came with the Apple Newton:
And it was very successful it moved the tech industry towards what we have today.

The point is not that they look the same. The point is that they "did" the same thing SJ "cursed". You know my point but you just want to find a counter argument that doesn't fit. Oh well...

Can anyone confirm that these are allowed on airplanes? Given Samsung's reputation and the fact that there are THREE batteries on these things, it seems very possible that these will be banned.

It certainly did move the tech industry forward - It resulted in Acorn and Apple to found ARM, as Apple needed low power CPU's for these devices, which is the key to all the phones and pads today. (Please learn history before trying to make fun of it!)
