Have you used a Samsung phone in the past five years or so? They’re actually pretty nice. I own an iPhone 12 Pro, but every time I go to Best Buy, I like to fiddle around with the Galaxy Fold on demo. It’s pretty neat. You should go and mess around with one. I know you won’t, but you should. Why would anyone want that bloat, battery draining, heat magnet, camera lag garbage on their phone. 🤦♂️😂
Imagine if Apple releases something like this for Android users and the script will flip calling it amazing. But nah it’s another company especially that Samsung copycat who sells OLEDs and other iPhone components but who cares.Fanboy aside. This is actually really well done.
While I am not an AndroidOS users this demo is meant to provide a general user experience not to be a emulator. I think it was well executed. It’s not very functional, but maybe that’s just what using a Samsung is like.
Yep iPhones sure do have Samsung OLED screens and now we have an OS demo implemented via webapp, I like the creative thinking. Most people know what a samsung screen looks like and know the differences between Android and
iOS and for those that don't you're not missing anything !
Some people don’t understand what is and is not enforceable as their feel the need to protect a large tech corporation for free, pathetic logic. What for?
It's a stupid web app.
Cool, thanks for playing and coming out. I would like to see you or other bashing this to come up with a creative web app implementation for whatever your heart contends.Thanks. I hated it.
The naysayers are just jealous that Apple did not do something like this for iOS to demonstrate its abilities to Android users. It’s sad really but Apple does not feel pressure to attract new users. Though this would be excellent as a quick online interactive iOS tutorial. And people three post ago said, “you can’t do a good web app” pffftt.
It can be changed to a single line, three lines, etc. I dislike that iOS since the introduction of iPhone X still has the single line on the Home Screen bottom, permit users to remove it ffs.I still cant figure out why they're still using the app/home/back button persistent interface along the bottom. So redundant and obsolete at this point. I really don't like it at all.
I liked it too. Very clever.Useless or not, hats off to the guys who programmed this.
...beside it could be android scam to put something on my iPhone when I put the iTest on my device.
I have a serious question. My mother just got a new Samsung Galaxy last week. Could I send her this link and would it work there? Obviously she doesn't need to be sold on a Samsung. But if it could work as a quick and easy tutorial on how to use her new phone, that might help her a ton and prevents tons of "I don't know mom, my iPhone doesn't work that way" replies. It's a web link, should work fine, right?
What sites do you go to now? I’m interested in expanding my horizons.Have you used a Samsung phone in the past five years or so? They’re actually pretty nice. I own an iPhone 12 Pro, but every time I go to Best Buy, I like to fiddle around with the Galaxy Fold on demo. It’s pretty neat. You should go and mess around with one. I know you won’t, but you should.
Also, Samsung Phones have great battery life, and their cameras are on par with the iPhone Camera. I’ve owned numerous Android phones over the years, and guess what? They operate pretty much the same way iPhones do.
But I’m not gonna argue about the crap you wrote, or which is better. I just have one question:
Are you (and the many others who write basically the same copy-paste insults at Samsung or any other not Apple company) just not interested in tech, et al? Because there’s a ton of really cool stuff made by companies that aren’t made by a company named after one of the most annoying fruits to eat.
Do you own stock in Apple, and that’s why you write stuff like that? Or, are you only interested in what Apple makes, and that’s it, decision made, cemented, you can never possibly change your mind? Because if so, that’s freaking sad.
One last thing, and this isn’t directed at you, but Macrumors in general: This is one of the first websites/forums I really dug into when I started getting into tech, which was caused by my fascination with the Palm Treo 650 that I took to Iraq with me, then the iPhone, iPad, etc.
But over the past year or two, I’ve noticed that I’m coming here less and less, and it‘s mainly because the comments/forums are slowly turning into the comments/forums on Apple Insider, another tech site I used to visit all the time but stopped a few years ago. Apple Insider is dying a slow death, caused by an infestation of “Apple or Nothing!” sycophants. Articles that used to get 100, 200 comments now get 10, 12.
Macrumors, take heed — the same thing is starting to happen here. Your actual content is fine, but your forums have lost the fun, youthful energy that they had 10 years ago. Now it’s just a bunch of middle aged folks, a large percentage of whom probably work in IT, and likely say, “this country’s going in the gutter because of these damned Millenials” a half dozen times a day. Everyone here seems to be mad about something; no one ever seems to be excited about anything.
I know once I remove y’all from that sweet spot in my favorites bar, and stop coming here, no one will miss me. But I know I’ll miss what this site used to be. I’m just not going to let y’all rob me of my enthusiasm for all tech, and slowly convert me into one of the “Mads.”
What and do away with android devices company? Just have android as an app on iPhones? Now this is some kinda next level desperate. But to be honest, with how powerful the A series SoC is, I'm surprised someone just doesn't turn Android into an app that can access the Google Playstore on iOS. Although, this would probably be blocked by the store and its kind of a bad memory (remember IBM with OS/2 can also run Windows better than Windows?)
