Dan is annoying.

Had up vote this based on how biased his review is. Reverse wireless is only a party trick to him because all he uses is dated Apple products. People in the Samsung ecosystem can charge their galaxy buds, smart watch and just for kicks give a little juice to an iPhone user. I’ll also take a smaller punch out on the side where it’s less intrusive than a middle notch at least twice it’s size and an all around smaller bezel display.

Give good hardware credit when it’s deserved. Software and ecosystems are always going to be subjective let’s leave at that.

S10+ slaughters xs max in battery test (TYPICAL usage). In fact xs max is the worst compared to all premium Androids

Hey don't you know that iOS is so efficient that iPhones last longer than Android even with smaller capacity batteries. That video evidence is just someone's clickbait opinion.

There really isn't any competition for Samsung anymore. Hope Apple catches up soon.

Apple kills the idea of future proofing its phones by putting in the minimum amount of RAM they can currently get away with.
Not really, still using my iPhone 4 and 5s for various things. Obviously not using them for functions that depend on new hardware, but that’s the fate of all of these gizmos.

Samsung had ****** barely working unsecure “face locking” and please let me get excited about being able to shrink or magnify icons lol

Why do people keep going on about the security of Face ID? In what scenario do you believe this would make any difference over fingerprints or other locking mechanisms?

Really? I had to retire my 5S since it couldn't even play podcasts smoothly any more since iOS was always stealing resources away.

Well there's the OnePlus 6T.

While I would agree with you 3 years ago when my 5s was really slow when I changed to the 7, now 3 years since and my 7’s fine. At this point in tech degrading battery life is a much greater concern than not enough memory.

The shadiness of the iPhone being charged by the S10. :D

How far have we gotten, Samsung phones are charging iPhones and Apple still won’t include a fast charger in the box? Also, it would be nice to put the headphone adapter back in the box....took me a while to find one for the iPad Pro that actually worked and wasn’t overpriced (P.S. the S10 has a headphone jack).

Apple please put everything back in the box.

S10 series >>>> iPhone Xs series

Enough said.

Lol. Headphone adaptor? They’re called AirPods. Samsung runs Android, which is spyware.

Samsung’s Achilles heal is software. They can not control their own destiny long term. Apple can. Taking Android source code from Google and trying to make it their variation becomes stale as everyone is doing it. The S10 is Samsung’s hit since the S7. Since they released the S10 can they sustain this drive for 3-5 years? My gut instinct says no because they will always be undercutted by other Android vendors. This goes back to my first statement of being “just another” Android manufacturer. Their is nothing unique to their software that creates brand loyalty like Apple.

S10 is awesome, if there was a way to get ios on it, that would be something... sadly only android is possible, so i have to pass on it

S10+ : better hardware,nicer design,better display,less bezels,better cameras,under display finger print better than face ID,better battery life,reverse charging,always on display,lighter

Xs Max : iOs and Apple ecosystem still better than android

They usually update it with two versions of Android, maximum and that's it.

And it is very slow process, usually, you have to wait months after the Android is officially released. The beauty of mess, confusion and fragmentation.

Samsung typically provides monthly security updates for 18 months for sure ...even updates for three years but after 18 months the frequency reduces obviously...

Samsung really slow in upgrades because it won't break the software, but when they rollout they don't have to make frequent hot fixes like we have been seeing in iOS recently...

Since major upgrades beyond 18 months require new internals, it is pointless to upgrade 2 years old hardware meant for different needs.

Go Samsung. Strong competition lifts everybody
Samsung is a horrible company that has been ripping off other successful tech companies for over 50 years. I'm all for competition but Samsung needs some serious karma and I refuse to support them.

The centered camera hump is nice — the phone won’t rock to the side when typing with it on a table.

Phone hardware is great. What we need are big improvements in data and AI. The iPhone 7 for example would blow away everything now if it had some sort of super smart Siri that tied apps and data like your location and schedule together to give you pertinent information in the moment or help you quickly do repetitive tasks, especially between apps.

Apple, BTW, give us an iPhone XR or XS mini (iPhone 4 or SE size) and PROFIT!!!

As an iPhone user myself I have to ask what security risk are there associated with Google/Android platform?
The fact that Malware Bytes is available for sale on Google Play says it all.

Celebrities iCloud get hacked into daily and their private pics are plastered all over the net.
That was 100% social engineering. It had nothing to do with Apple or their security.

FaceTime just had a very intrusive flaw exposed recently.
"Very intrusive" is an overstatement. It applied to a small subset of people and didn't involve strangers eavesdropping.

Just say you don't like Android and it will be more respected.
I don't like Android.

One runs iOS, the other Google's data slurping, privacy hating OS. That's all I need to know.
I have a Galaxy S5 for dev testing and the moment I entered my Google credentials into it for the Play Store, I started getting full screen popup ads that would wake the screen. There are no apps installed except for Dropbox and some unregistered AT&T junkware.

I don't particularly care why this happened. All I know is that iOS wouldn't have this problem to begin with.

How is it slow? You get the major updates every 12 months or so. Just like Apple updates iOS.
So the S10 will get Android Q by this time next year. Whta's the problem with that?

HAHAHHA. iOS 12 is running on almost every iOS device Apple sold on the last FOUR YEARS. You cannot in any shape or form compare both platforms.

Also “Major” updates isn’t the problem, it is the tens of small critical bug fixes that are released in the year after.

Comments like these humor me ALWAYS! As an iPhone user myself I have to ask what security risk are there associated with Google/Android platform? Celebrities get hacked because they use weak passwords, not because of a lack of security in icloud.
What percentage of Android apps have malware? Is it 40% still?
You also have to ask yourself what security you have when everything is in the Google universe.
You have to start by logging into gmail then that logs you in with everything else whether you want it to or not.
In their privacy rules they clearly state they have ownership of everything you put on their servers- images, contacts, emails, documents ( although they assure you that they would never use your data without your permission. ) But ownership?
Plus, I think you’ll find keychain password protection and the apple chips in all devices ( can’t remember the name) the ones which keep sensitive data and or parts of the OS kernel that not even they can get into. They arecavhuge plus. l
Android is pretty good these days but I think you’ll find that Android phones are still a long way behind in security.

Same thing every year. The newest Samsung beats apple’s latest in some specs for 6 months and then the tables are turned.
I don't think it's takes much to figure out a newly released flag-ship device should be better than the current market line-up.

Search more. Under the display fingerprint sensors are good but not great. They work well most of the time but are probably a year or two from being great.

Here’s an initial review with some sampling: https://www.pcmag.com/news/366746/how-well-does-the-galaxy-s10-fingerprint-sensor-work

Another one: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/27/technology/personaltech/samsung-galaxy-s10-review.html

Neither is thrilled with the performance but it’s generally good.
Really weird articles that don't prove anything.
Especially the first one, it's like he doesn't know how to use the fingering and complains about petty things just so he could turn it into a full article.
