It isn't new and I didn't say it was. I find it useless. It is a gimmick selling point for some potential buyers.

You cant compare glass replacement between the two, because they are made differently.
Both use Corning's Gorilla Glass. You could keep saying it was a gimmick until Apple introduces something similar. Would you cease buying iPhones then? At the end of the day, it looks better and costs less to implement and replace should you break it. Costs more to replace the flat sheet on the iPhone, and costs nearly 50% of its value should the back be cracked.

EverythingApplePro is a clickbait revenue kid. His opinion is meaningless for many, me included.
Do you simply choose to insult reviewers who don't speak highly of the XS? Your ageist attitude isn't nice.

No, I wasn't proven wrong. It is an added expense. Zenithal thought I was comparing the cost of glass replacement between the two and I wasn't. Nothing in my post noted such a comparison in cost.

So when you said :
The curved glass is a waste of space and an added expense if repairing.

You wasn't saying it's more expenive to repair the screen compared tp the iPhone X/XS Max?

No, I know what "EverythingApplePro" is about and I don't respect his clickbait gimmick video style for revenue.

I don't care if some people like Android, iOS, or both. Unlike many here, I don't take it personal. Use what works for you. All I have been doing, is voicing my opinion. Android hasn't been for me. It might be one day.

Here's the thing. No one wants to steal an iPhone X, compared to a Samsung phone. Second, Apple went overboard by making FaceID TOO secure. Samsung got the balance right. No one needs that much security to justify that ugly camera housing. Just look at how Samsung was able to minimize the chin. THAT is engineering chops Apple doesn't have. Fact.
Hilarious take that is anything but fact.

Apple introduced FaceID a year and a half ago and the competition still hasn’t caught up.

The iPhone X has less of a chin than the S10.

AirPods have still not been matched and were released over 2 years ago.

The Watch 4 is probably the best engineered piece of consumer hardware available.

The A12 is the most powerful mobile chip.

Long story short, Apple understands hardware engineering...incredibly well.

I can appreciate this post, if bias is put aside they really are both very good pieces of hardware and really the preference on OS is the bigger factor when choosing between the two.

Yup, and the differences between the two OS’s are pretty minimal at this point. They both just do things a little bit differently than each other, stick to certain values let’s say, and just choose different routes to get the same things done. We argue over such minimal differences in the end.

Then why should anyone pay attention to what you have to say? For all we know you're quite old and thus your aged opinion means zilch. Then who do you respect?

You didn't voice opinion. You tried to pass opinion as fact, you got called out on it, now you're treating it as if it were pure opinion. Grow up.

Android tends to appeal to more tech literate people.

So when you said :

Again, I didn't compare the cost. My post proves I didn't. You injected a comparison that didn't exist. If I was making a glass comparison between the two devices, I wouldn't have done so. All I said was repairing the curved glass in the Samsung phone is an added cost. Nothing more. There was no comparison to the iPhone in that statement.

I think people get defensive over their chosen device, myself included. Phones are such a huge part of peoples lives in this day and age. Then again this is a internet forum so some heated debate is bound to occur.

1) Because Samsung have taken a different approach
2) Only slightly, yet the iPhone has bezels all round the side
3) From the reviews i've seen online, people are favouring the Galaxy Buds
4) In your opinion
5) Yet the S10 out performs the A12 on actual real life use -
6) In your opinion

Added cost to what exactly? A flat screen?

S6 glass was $185 for repair back then. S6 Edge (curved glass), was $200. $15 difference way back then. Price difference is even less now. I could break the glass on my incoming S10 2 times and still be under cost of an iPhone XS if its backside breaks.

It's always going to be an added cost if you break something and need to get it repaired - So I can't see what you're getting at.

They are real world tests and give a better indication of real world performance then benchmarks, that's all im saying.
Who can really validate the testing?

For one thing, having owned Android phones, they always slow down after 6 months and are rarely updated.

Benchmarks are unbiased. If people continually do speed tests for YouTube views, I have very little faith in their methodology, bias tendencies, and overall technique. There are tons of iPhone videos crushing Android phones too.

It is a fact that if you have to get the curved glass repaired, it is an extra cost on top of purchase. That is all I addressed. The same goes for iPhone. No need to argue with me over the obvious. Read what I say without inserting words that aren't there. It goes smoother that way.

If you want to have a dialogue with me, you can do so without the passive aggressive rhetoric aimed at me, because you disagree with what I said. If not, you can reply to others.

Oh but Android allows you to remap it to anything. On my Note 10 I have long press for Google Assistant, 1 press for Google Home, and double press for Google Camera.

Note 10?

I bought bxActions Pro for like $0.99 before it went up in price and remapped whatever I wanted Bixby to do and then some.

What are you talking about?

Curved glass is an extra expense when you get it repaired? Are you suggesting the glass is curved at the sides to fit a phone at a repair shop?

The point was to show Apple can engineer hardware, not to discuss approach.

You have zero way the compare reviews, tabulate the findings, and confidently state Buds rank higher than AirPods. Silly argument. We know Apple wearables are growing at 50%, AirPods are universally loved, and Apple has sold tens of millions.

I would hope the NEW buds would be at least as good as 2.5 yr old AirPods, but they won’t be nearly as popular and Apple is about to update them.

You are basing the S10 performance on YouTube videos made by kids.

So your post was basically advising people that if you break something, whether it be the S10, iPhone XS, Galaxy Watch or Apple Watch (or anything else someone owns) that it's going to cost them money to get it repaired??

Did you know that the sun is hot and that the sea is wet?

Haha, thank you for the entertainment.
