Note 10?

I bought bxActions Pro for like $0.99 before it went up in price and remapped whatever I wanted Bixby to do and then some.

What are you talking about?

Curved glass is an extra expense when you get it repaired? Are you suggesting the glass is curved at the sides to fit a phone at a repair shop?
I think you are being obtuse on purpose. If English is not your first language, and it isn't for many here, I will be glad to try and clear up any confusion you may have about the fact that if one breaks the curved glass on this phone, it is an added expense on top of the purchase price.

I've had my S9 for over a year. Works as fast as the day I got it. Perhaps stop viewing adult sites and installing every app you see?
Why would porn slow it down and who watches that on their phone?

Everyone knows Samsung phones don’t get updated long term. You couldn’t even have Pie when it was released.

Haha, thank you for the entertainment.
Great rebuttal.

For one thing, having owned Android phones, they always slow down after 6 months and are rarely updated.

You see its comments like this that start silly arguments, in the past that statement was true but it just not the case anymore. I can say with 100 percent honestly that my S9+ hasn't slowed down and actually runs better now then when I first got it a year ago. Android has come a LONG way in the past few years. If you can't admit that then you are just being bias.

The fact is both the XS and S10 are very fast phones with great cameras and the differences between them are minimal outside of the OS.

Why would any Android phone slow down after exactly six months?

Blame the carriers. Samsung had their version ready to go mere months after Pie released. It took Verizon 4 months to test it and then release it. TMO released it over a month later.

Anyone who wants the new version ASAP can do it if they put the effort into learning how.

I know it has...the problem is the privacy and support. I hated having the flagship Android device and not ever getting the newest OS. I had a Note 4 and Note 5. I got 1 software update on each.

I also don’t trust Google and hate how they use my data.

I think people get defensive over their chosen device, myself included. Phones are such a huge part of peoples lives in this day and age. Then again this is a internet forum so some heated debate is bound to occur.

Yea I get it, I’ve done the same. It just seems pretty wasteful. I’d rather the forums discuss new tech ideas, ways to do things with our devices, reviews, stuff like that.

1)Why would porn slow it down and who watches that on their phone?

2)Everyone knows Samsung phones don’t get updated long term. You couldn’t even have Pie when it was released.

3)Great rebuttal.

2) Unlike iOS - Core apps get updated individually. Plus handsets receive the latest Android within 12 months like iOS. See the earlier discussion in the thread. iOS users seems to cling to the updates to get extra features that Android users have from the start - I don't blame you.
3) Thanks

Let's not forget iOS 10 and 11 were hot garbage, and iOS 12 ramps software start differently compared to prior versions to address performance issue bugs people were experiencing. Apple hasn't developed split windows for iPhones. Just iPads. How sad.

Who knows? I just know my Note 4 was basically trash after 6 months despite a device replacement and 3 batteries.

I don’t care about the business side. I just want the newest OS. With Apple, I get it. And I get it for 5 years.

Thats why its great to have a choice :) Its also great to have competition as it benefits us, the consumers!

I want the OS, not app updates.

Sounds like you should be spending more time on Android Authority. I prefer not to use spyware as an OS for a company built on using your data.

So your post was basically advising people that if you break something, whether it be the S10, iPhone XS, Galaxy Watch or Apple Watch (or anything else someone owns) that it's going to cost them money to get it repaired??

Did you know that the sun is hot and that the sea is wet?
Once you read what was actuality said, it is rather simple, as you now see. It shouldn't have taken multiple posts to get back to simple. That happens, when people read what they want to see, instead of what is.

Too many people on this forum get all worked up over iPhone vs Android. There is no vs, expect in the minds of the ad executives, bloggers, and forum members who feel compelled to defend Apple, Samsung, or Google. None of them need defending.

The purchase of the different devices is based (for many) on subjective preference and usage. A far smaller segment base their purchase on blind loyalty or peer pressure.

As I said before, use what works for you. I am not defending any Apple product here nor have I made any direct comparisons between the two devices like Dan did.

The Note 4 was laggy from day one for me, in fact until the S8, Samsung didn't make a phone that didn't lag horrendously in my experience. However I still preferred Android then because I value a more open OS that gives me the control. Other people value fluidity etc.

But your core apps only update when you get an OS update. That's where things differ.
Thank you for your advice, duly noted. Are you saying only people that love Apple post on here?

I have read what you said. You said to repair something costs extra money. But that applies to everything in life so is a moot point!

These are some good looking hardware. It will be a killer deal if Samsung commits to 4-5 years of Android updates to match Apple.

... and if I can use VoLTE, VoWiFi, ... on Att with unlocked device.

Or that with Android you can install apps that can increase padding between apps, increase or decrease icon size, change icons, etc. The list is endless.

Samsung has had face unlock for years.
That can be fooled with a photograph. I said “secure”.
[doublepost=1551492199][/doublepost]
It contains a depth sensor, same as the iPhone notch.
Dot projector? Can the face login be fooled with a photo?

Face ID can be fooled with twins. It's happened on this site. Face ID has a margin of error so it doesn't lock you out if your facial hair changes or something fairly drastic.

I've got two siblings. We're varied in age. We more or less resemble one another. I can unlock both their iPhones. Pins, 8 character minimum, is the most secure.
