Original quote by Pablo Picasso. One GREAT artist. Who surely knew what he was talking about.
Well, Steve Jobs would have learned by now that you shouldn't use great quotes that will be misconstrued by anyone who is either clueless or has an agenda.
Great artists _steal ideas_ and make them their own. That's what Picasso did: He looked at the works of others, noticed what was good, and turned it into a unique work of art, which was Picasso's art. That's what Apple does. Apple steals ideas and turns them into Apple products. Samsung copies and creates cheap lookalikes.

Could you give any real example of people worshipping Steve Jobs as if he was the next Jesus?
Please don't take Picasso's quote at face value.
Picasso's quote was about CONSUMING culture and "STEALING" then INVENTING something new and HIDING your inventions in such a way that makes you look like a genius. As a student of history, I can easily tell where Picasso got his ideas from, but he hid it very well.
Samsung has no iota of innovation in any of their products. Maybe their displays are good, but they are still running as a company that runs on tech specs and not on WHY a certain product or feature does something. Or do we need it? They are not a reflective company.
Design principles don't come from tech specs, they come from liberal arts and the humanities, of which Samsung has zero.
I hate when people say Apple steals....if they DO steal, they make sure they put a nail in the coffin and make the best out of that "stolen" idea.
As much as I think Apple has gotten lazy in the past few years, it's still a design principled company from top to bottom — which other companies wish they had.
