Sure I agree! Next time if you do stand in line and you see scalpers, make sure to tell the Apple employees and the security people leave those scalpers alone! They should be allowed to cut the line whenever they want. Hey it is a free country! And it is legal!

What is wrong with you? Unless you want to go down the line and interrogate people about how many phones they're planning to buy and what their intentions are, telling Apple employees will not achieve a thing.

Nobody said anything about anyone being 'allowed' to cut lines. You speak as if only scalpers cut lines. You have NO proof to back that up. And it's a problem easily solved - like I said, hand out numbers or put names down on a list.

----------

Most buyers are from mainland China, they care is reselling back to China, because China still haven't start selling it yet.

You are lying.

How come they are exporting to other countries when they are locked to a specific carrier??

I honestly didn't care, we have to make a living somehow. I just feel that they prevented at least someone from getting a phone.

They were using apple gift cards as payment.

They didn't prevent anyone from getting a phone unless they threw the phones away. Obviously someone is going to get the phones that they are selling.

You are lying.

You are a outsider. Most of scalpers are selling their phone back to China, because people would pay up to 4 times for a 6+. There is a huge market buyers in Asia, not only in China of course. No matter what they do, there is no way you can stop scalpers at this point, legal doesn't mean it is okay. Understand?

First of all, how do you know I'm an "outsider"?

Second, not okay to you, maybe. But honestly, what is and isn't okay with you doesn't really matter, does it?

So what if 10 Americans paid a homeless guy $500 each to camp out first in line and buy 10 iPhones, and all 10 of those people moved to China the next day? Would that be more acceptable to you? Why or why not?

Again: it's easy if you want to beat scalpers at their own game. Just show up earlier than they do.

Isn't it obvious that these people are the victims and not the perpetrators here?

Do you really think they would spend the night with their face next to the sizeable New York City rats if they had a better way to earn a few hundred bucks?

Can't you see that their misery and the capitalist as-long-as-it-doesn't-affect-me-I-don't-care mentality are linked? That the one entails the other?

I ordered a phone online. So I am not affected, because I will get my stupid first world toy. But the problem here is that there is some bastard who is exploiting poor people to make a profit for doing nothing (reselling is doing nothing - any moderately intelligent capitalist should concede that). They are the true scumbags, the parasites, not the poor folk in the line, who are doing underpaid, underprotected work in unhealthy conditions (not least because of the abuse by the police). It makes me angry. And I wish apple, with all their desire to be the nicest brand in the world, managed to stop this from happening. Maybe by paying more taxes rather than trying to dodge them, so that the government could offer some sort of welfare to try and help people not get so desperate. As well as, of course, selling the bloody phone in bloody China or wherever people want to buy it.

Many of the scalpers don't respect queues, and will push their way to the front. What makes you think that people who willingly violate the law by littering are going to respect the people who got there first?

The only solution is for Apple or the municipal governments to crack down hard on these people.

The municipal laws already prohibit littering and it looks like the cops were enforcing no sleeping on sidewalks. Cutting a line is not socially acceptable, but unless someone engages in a fight - purely cutting into a line may not be a crime at all.

Totally acceptable man! Well I called you a outsider cuz you haven't understood why people here are mostly mad at. They are CUTTING THE LINES! That is the whole issue! It is like an hour ago, you saw 100 people ahead of you, then after 30 mins, 200, 300 people are showing up. If 1000 scalpers in front of me, they were all getting 2 PER PERSON just like the Apple store rule. I am completely okay with that.

I see. So as long as scalpers don't cut the line, they can do whatever they want. I can accept that reasoning.

I'm sure there was some line cutting going on, but like I said before you CANNOT blame only scalpers for that kind of asshat behavior. And if you really had 200 people cut in line in front of you in 30 minutes maybe the store's employees are to blame for being so clueless they didn't notice it and come up with a way to stop the line cutting.

I can careless what you are accepting it is not a debate first of all. From the beginning, I never said all scalpers are asses. People can buy countless phones they want, they can resell it, smash it, or use it. They brought these phones, therefore they owned the right to deal with these phones. The problem has always been those people been cutting lines and took away phones weren't belonged to them.

Then be more specific and complain about line cutters, not scalpers. One has nothing to do with the other. This thread is about scalpers, go find the thread about line cutters and post your thoughts there. Why is that so hard to understand?

I can post my thread wherever I want. Why are you making all the rules about what should I say. I am taking about scalpers from the start. If you don't get it, go find the thread about misunderstood people's opinions and still trying to look cool.

I have no problem with the idea of it. They should be able to make a profit anyway they want. What I do have a problem with is them coming to my apple store and taking all the supplies ALONG with the american scalpers. Plenty of american scalpers were at the apple launch intending to sell the phone on ebay. To have american scalpers AND scalpers from other countries its a wonder I got a phone at all--its likely only because the store I went to is a flagship store.

This is why they should release the phone in their country at the same time. This would prevent this from happening as much. It would still exist, but it would be at a lesser frequency. If it has to delay launches to get supplies high enough, so be it.

First of all, it's not your Apple Store. You don't own it, nor are you entitled to be the first to buy the products in it. Second of all, what makes you any more entitled to an iPhone than the scalpers. They waited in line just like everyone else. If you want to get one, then I guess next time you need to get in line before the scalpers.

And don't tell me it's because you're going to keep yours and they're going to resell them. Because I bet if I offered you twice what you paid for your iPhone, you'd sell it to me. No one would pass that kind of profit up.

There actually should be some sort of crack down on this. Not so much because they (scalpers) are buying up phones that they then re-sell, keeping them out of the "true Apple fans" hands, but because many of these phones then are smuggled out of the country. Sold at a huge profit. And it is no like it is a reseller by themselves just fronting the cash. Most likely, this is backed by the Chinese mafia. That is certainly not a far stretch at all and is highly likely. So cool, Apple is helping fund the Chinese mafia now. Yea.:apple:

They're not being smuggled out of the country. It's legal to take an iPhone 6 out of the US. I'm taking mine out of the US next week on a trip.

Now, they are being smuggled into China. I know it's semantics, however, that's a matter of enforcement by the Chinese government and shouldn't be left up to Apple. Maybe if there was a real threat of the smugglers being caught and sent to a Chinese prison (which I can't imagine would be pleasant) then people wouldn't risk it. But if the Chinese authorities ignore the smugglers, or more likely, are paid off to ignore them, that's not Apple's problem and not their place to intervene.

Sure you can post wherever you want, but if you don't want to make yourself look like an idiot like you're doing now, you should probably post in a thread relevant to the topic you're posting about. But hey, do what you like. Nobody's stopping you from looking foolish.

And no, you weren't "talking about scalpers from the start", you were talking about line cutters. The fact that some of these people were scalpers is irrelevant.

What's next for you? Going to post about scalpers in a thread about headphones? :)

Pretty simple solution:

1. China should be added to the group of countries to receive new products first.
2. One phone per customer.
3. Credit/Debit only during first few weeks of launch. Photo ID required.

That should make a scalper's life a bit more difficult.

hahahaha, just one last thing for you, look at all the posts along with this thread, look at what people are saying. Then see how many agree with you? This is a public forum.

What does this being a public forum have to do with anything?

You keep on crying about line cutters if it makes you feel better. :)

1. Possibly, but as long as Chinese stores don't have enough stock to support the demand after launch, scalpers will be filling the void. Obviously people over there would rather pay more than wait.

2. Might slow things down, they'll probably just increase the number of scalpers.

3. Don't think this will help. Scalpers will just use prepaid credit cards or their own credit card. I don't think they use cash to avoid a paper trail because they're not doing anything illegal, I just think they use cash as a matter of convenience. And they probably have photo IDs too.

Messaged you, if you wanna trash talk , do that in the private message section for everyone's sake.

Don't forget:

4. No cutting in line or we'll have to notify mommy and daddy.

Yup. What's the difference between one person in line intending to buy 10 phones to resell versus ten people in line intending to buy one phone to resell each?

And why not ask the scalpers how much they charge. Maybe for $50 dollars you can hire a scalper to wait days and buy you an iphone.

People is mad to the scalpers because they could not find an iphone 6

Next time leave the scalpers alone and buy your iphone thru the Apple Store that way you will get your iphone the easy way and not the hard way. Who wants to sleep on the street, who wants to wait for hours, why wait on the street if you can wait watching tv in your sofa in your house?

One time I waited over 3 hours to buy and iphone and when I enter the store there were no more iphones, after that time I will never wait hours or even minutes. The best way and the fastest is ordering thru the Apple Store.

Apple is a business, they want to sell millions of iphones and if scalpers buy millions of iphones apple is happy.
