Scotland and N Ireland Delays...

Just got a voicemail from the lady at Apple.

She said "We are still trying to get your iPad to you today. We are working very hard and our logistics team is working with different carriers to ensure your iPad gets to you today. The information on the tracking is incorrect but we are working to get your iPad to you today."

Didn't sound too promising to be honest :-/

well done chimpofdoom- I'm pretty certain your smash gave the plane the boost it needed and the delivery guys didn't mess around in fear of a second attack!

Next time around you should consider hiring yourself out for the iPhone 5 or the new new iPad launches!

I hear ya! I'm only a 5 min drive from Victoria Square and have been mulling over heading down for the last 2 hours now! TNT says out for delivery so I can finally relax!
Am I right in recalling you missed out on launch day for the iPad 2? I remember you posting something along those lines.

Anyway- how is it? Got used to the retina screen already?

Happy to be of service... still haven't received my ipad.. so maybe i'll smash the van.... *watch this space*
 
Waiting patiently but in Perthshire in central Scotland so will probably be afternoon. At least my kitten is keeping me amused. She has been playing non stop for the last hour. Who needs expensive electronic toys when a paper ball gives you so much fun. :)

Yeah I got the iPad 2 the day after launch. Was running around on launch day trying to find stock everywhere!

Anyway, the new iPad screen is absolutely amazing. The difference from iPad 2 is incredible. I can't wait until we all have our iPads and can finally relax lol.

I'll be returning my 32GB wifi tomorrow or today depending on when TNT deliver it. Decided I wanted 64GB anyway. Glad I got the bigger size. Adding movies and music videos to it as we speak :-D
 
My update:

TNT - I won't get mine until the 19th due to the volume of iPads they got in...

Apple lady - shes away to try fix that for me as TNT promised our iPads would be delivered


Am in craigavon n Ireland btw....



Also TNT did offer me to go pick it up, piss take lol...

I suppose this is what some people would call exciting; the way I'm feeling today I just want it delivered to work (Larne) so I can go home and be sick!

Well if it's anything like my days in "North Perthshire" or "highland Perthshire", deliveries were either last thing or the next day..

Hang on what! That's absolutely shocking to be told that after all this. What is your delivery status as mine is "Out For Delivery"? Does that mean they are only delivering some of the N. Ireland ones today and the rest on Mon (bank holiday).

Mine ain't been sent out for delivery, it's sitting in Belfast... TNT lady stated it ain't a bank holiday here Monday


Apple lady who phoned me yesterday and day before promising me I'd get it today is away to ring TNT for me.... She's ringing me back

If she states Monday then I won't be happy as I took today off....

Disgraceful- let us know how you get on? At least you're on the ball about contacting Apple again etc. If push comes to shove is going to collect it an option for you?

So i take it if your status hasn't changed it hasnt been sent out today?
