Scotland and N Ireland Delays...

At this point in the game after the added possible loss of wage from work and the time wasted as a result a free iPad would be the least of their worrys!

Indeed and because we was messed about then lied too, we will all need two days off...

I think the apple lady who rung us will do everything she can too keep us happy..

There is still hope , but if TNT are stating ours are not coming until the 19th, it just might be game over.... I'll ring TNT first before apple.

Yeah I know. I had emailed the woman saying it was a disgrace that I may need to lose a days pay to queue out and when she phoned to confirm it would be here today she said "you won't need to queue. It will be with you on Friday."

She told me she would ring me again to confirm yet again that it will be delivered at 9.30. If its bad news I'll go mental I could have lined up in Tesco and I'd already have it. Launch day delivery was supposed to make my life eaiser not cause me to have to fight to get it late! :(
 
I was in the same boat as everyone on heard and had the same conversations

as you all with the nice lady from Apple. When i went to bed last night the iPad

was still in transit and this morning it arrived at KG4 at 1530 yesterday :(

There were no further updates until 5mins ago when at 0642 this morning it

changed to "out for delivery" . :D

I would not panic yet as the TNT system does not appear to be reflecting

what is exactly happening. Hopefully we will all be happy by the end of the day

The KG4 update diden't appear until this morning- yet is has an earlier time that the Nuneaton update which was on last night! I think the tracking (and the call center guy who someone spoke to earlier) can hopefully be disregarded.
Best if we can get in contact with someone from Apple who can then double check with TNT. If we're not getting them today the least I expect is another phone call rather than waiting all day for nothing :mad:

16 Mar 2012 07:32:09 Glasgow Shipment Received At Destination Depot.
16 Mar 2012 06:42:24 Glasgow Out For Delivery.
15 Mar 2012 15:31:00 KG4 Shipment Received At Transit Point.
15 Mar 2012 13:30:00 Nuneaton Shipment In Transit.

Out for delivery, then received at Dest Depot????:confused:
 
Searching for Apple Belfast on twitter- photos of the queue really aren't anyway near as large as iPhone 4 and iPad2 queues- raging!
I just want confirmation either way about our deliveries as I think if you get down there today there should be plenty of stock. Anyway must be patient and go and do something else for the next couple of hours!

Looks like TNT mixed up last 2 updates....

Just phoned TnT on: 0800 100 600

Got right threw to a lady who stated the flight to Belfast with my iPad has been delayed so I should see it as shipped very soon and should be with me by 6pm..

I'd suggest everyone from n.i rings too, let's see if u guys get the same details..
 
So just checking my delivery status, it was in Northampton last night at 10pm, there is no way it will have made it onto a van for delivery here this morning.
They sort the stuff out into vans at the hub the night before they go out for delivery!

If the girl had of just said to me yesterday there is a chance I won't get it today, I'd have been up at the apple store first thing this morning!

If this doesn't come today (which it is looking more and more like it), I'll be very angry after being messed around so much!

Thats sounds a bit more promising and would explain the reason for the slow

update of the TNT site, fingers crossed "out for delivery" soon :D

You would be surprised how quickly they can get it from a plane, scanned and

on to a van. They don't normally arrive at the destination hub until that

morning. Most of the mail flights only operate through the night
 
Guys- it's understandable that you would get conflicting stories from TNT- it all depends on who you speak to. The girl in TNT I spoke to said:
- They haven't been tracked as arriving in Belfast yet

- It says due for delivery on Monday 19th- but she asked me had Apple called to say it would be delivered today? I said yes and she said then ignore the 19th for the meantime.

- They will call me back within the hour with confirmation of what is happening.

- I asked if they arrive in Belfast will they go out for delivery today. She said yes definitely they won't want the (the iPads) sitting around the depot all weekend.

I'm happy enough now to just wait it out.

Well I'm doubtful if mine will come today (pessimistic view of life.. activate!).

But since it arrived at the UK Mail depot (which I believe is in livingston) at 6:40 this morning.. and it hasn't left yet... :(

If it's not left by 12.. i'll need to go bang some heads together... *chimp smash*
