Hmm...interesting, now it is listed here. But I'm still sceptical.. I think the black border just hide the halo effect.

I contacted Spigen last week and they notified me that they will not be making another screen protector for the iPhone SE that is not the black edge to edge display on the market.

I decided to purchase the amfilm tempered glass screen protector, and it has worked flawlessly there is absolutely no halo effect on it and I will attach a picture to show you. The picture might have some glare but I assure you there is no halo effect.

did not feel up for trying 10 brands and being out $80 to be a beta tester for simple tempered glass

Bummer...so what choices we have for a glass screen protector ?

I can confirm this is the only screen protector available for the iPhone SE 2020. Below is what Spigen Support told me (via Twitter).

QUESTION: Any update on the revised screen protector for iPhone SE 2020? Thanks!

ANSWER: Thanks for your patience all this time. Happy to report that it is in-stock and available for purchase at this time!

How do you sure spigen will not make a clear one?
My original question to them on May 3rd was for the clear screen protector. The Spigen Support keep saying that they're working on it. But Spigen decided to release with black border, which is disappointing to me. I doubt they're release a clear version since iPhone 12 is coming soon.

You can checkout Simple Snap screen protector. It's very similar to Spigen AND so easy to install. The website is simplesnap.com.

Even on the new Align Master, people complaining, about the halo effect, others about, that it covers the screen edge to much.. Why can’t they just make one, that is clear, and cover only the lcd without the edges.. what chances are, you will scratch this area? I used edge to edge on my old 6, it was bad after time, and also had the halo, over time dust got under the front camera area (as the colored screen protectors, are made of 2 layers)..

They don't seem to have screen protector for SE 2020

It doesn’t appear to work, according to the Amazon guinea pigs. The black borders were made to try and cover up the halo affect that still persist. Some still notice the halo while others remark the black border obscures parts of the screen viewing and use.

lol.. just what i said, so maybe there are still chances they make a clear type that only covers the lcd portion.. thing is, if the screen is really more curved, they don't have much options, make more flexible, or use stronger adhesive, or make it thinner (it’s the slim is already very slim..)

Hopefully, if they read all the reviews at Amazon. Spigen messed up on this by not releasing a clear screen protector first.

I came across this one on Amazon. Has anyone tried this one yet from Spigen?

You sir has literally save my ass. I have old iPhone 6/64, I really wanted to buy the SE2020, but because of the situation with screen protectors, I almost ordered iPhone 8/128 (it seems, back in 2019, Apple discontinued 256 option, so it’s 64/128, or try the luck to find a 256 (but the battery will no be so fresh).

But all of this usb not important, if the new clear Align Master will actually fit perfect, and no bubbles/halo. I’ll get myself a black SE2020/256 very soon :)

I'd love to hear some feedback on this new Spigen one. I still have the Best Buy Insignia brand on my SE that was double the cost and it's working fine. But I don't like that cut out for the camera on the Insignia one because it tends to collect dust and dirt and the glass seems to be a lot thicker than the Spigen I put on my wife's iPhone 8.

Any updates on the new clear spigen?

I purchased the clear Spigen to have on hand and I may try it on my mom’s SE that she just got. However, there is now a review on Amazon with pictures and it doesn’t look good. This one specifically says it’s for the new SE so I don’t understand why it looks so terrible in that review.

Probably the person is not experience on putting screen protector. It does look bad.

Those pics could be from how it was applied. He could have lifted the protector up several times. Who knows.

I did notice the protector appears to be cut short on the bottom. It could be a bad impression due to the camera angle. I don‘t think so but, I could be wrong.

You have the new model. Give it a go like the rest of us have had to do with this brand and others.

You're right. When I look at that picture and compare it to the Insignia on my SE it does look like they cut it short for some reason. Maybe they trimmed some off the bottom to make up for the curved glass?

Hope to see some visual updates, why would spigen screw second time? Also, the EZFIT, and AlignMaster has different application methods, the EZFIT is pre fitted screen protector, on the hand the AlignMaster, you first attach the mold, and insert the glass, so maybe this can create some problems with proper application.

EZFIT is fitted better, as the screen protector already attached to the tool. Vs the MASTER, that is your only luck, to align it precisely...
