Cool thank you…

I have a Spigen sitting here ready to go (14PM arrives Thursday), but I just ordered a FloLab with the 20% off. On my 12 I really preferred having the black outline, since I could notice a little rainbow look on the edges without it.
The Spigen goes almost to the very edges of the screen, and over the black border of the phone's screen. I don't see any rainbow effect .

I definitely prefer the Spigen so far (the EZ Fit). It seems to be slightlly more smudgy than the ESR Armorite but it doesn’t collect nearly as much lint/dust around the edges as the ESR.
It has great coverage and the light bleed around the edges is not bad. If still like to find one with the black outline that has higher coverage.

Tried the spigen ones and had to toss them they were terrible with smudges and fingerprints and just looked ugly. Anything better out there?

I got this. It is very similar to the Spigen, including the applicator. It comes with four. Unfortunately I went through all four of them and could not get it with no bubbles and dust. I hope peeling these things off doesn’t harm the phone because I peeled off four of them today.

I am not sure what else I can do. Is there any way to actually put one of these things on with no bubbles or dust at all? I really don’t want my screen to be unprotected but I am tired of spending money on something that doesn’t work. It is just throwing money away.

Hmmm, I haven't had smudge or fingerprint issues with mine.

If you can't get the Spigens to try, then try getting an IMOS or Zagg XTR2.

Do apple stores do a good job of putting them on? They also do it at T-Mobile but I’m not letting them do that.

Tiny bubbles are usually due to bigger dust particles preventing a good seal.
Don't be shy on lifting the edge closest to the dust/bubble and sliding a dust remover sticker in. Let it down again to allow the sticker to grab the particle then lift up again and pull the sticker out.
Repeat until clear. You'll probs introduce one or more bits of lint/dust doing this, but stick with it and you'll eventually get a great & clear install.

My Shellrus arrived today. They have a new alignment tool similar to the Spigen ones.
I love it. I am happy with it.

The Hoda sapphire protector is listed for $50 on their site but it’s a $30 shipping charge! Might as well just get the Shelrus at that point.

Earwax would require people to make calls AND not use AirPods. Not a ton of users are holding phones to their heads.
Just FYI, I never take/make calls using earbuds, and yet have never gotten earwax in the little spaker place.

I used to have ZAGG protectors put on my phones and pads, sweet but verry expensive.
Then I bought my first Zizo case. They come with a screen protector.
Pop it on, looks and performs great. No more expensive ZAGGs for me.

$90 for the Shellrus with a $56 shipping charge for me. Will be staying with my Spigen..
Yeah, I’m seeing $88.99 total with shipping on the Shellrus, which already feels exorbitant. Can’t imagine ever justifying the prices you’re quoting.

I gotta say, you all pitching the Spigen screen protectors were right. I got mine today. I cleaned the phone and it went right on. I just had a couple of bubbles that squeegeed right out. My only problem is the applicator left a little scratch on the top of the bezel on the top of my purple phone. I wish that apple made these phones with a brushed finish because then scratches wouldn’t be obvious. No matter though, I guess. It will always be I. A case and I’ll likely forget it was even scratched. And I now have a nice screen protector. I am so glad I didn’t head out to the apple store and pay them!

Do you have any empirical data for that?

Anecdotally, I see plenty of people holding their phones to their ears while making calls. I have several sets of wireless earbuds, and one of my daughters has AirPods... but the rest of my family (wife, 6 kids, 17 grands) all hold the phone to their ears... most of my friends, do, as well... so, while it's not empirical data, it certainly is pretty obvious to me.

With that said, I don't think that I've ever seen earwax caked onto the earpiece of a cellphone.

Of course, that is just one man's observation, and as always, YMMV.

what do you mean by smudgy, when touching the display?

which screen protector can you recommend to have the best anti-finger print protection? Some say spigen isn't that good, is that true??!
