Ya, I’m surprised since the iCarez screen protectors I have on my 13 Pro Max do have a little notch for the speaker.
This is interesting. I received the Spigen protectors today and the notch at the top is there, but very slim. I normally go with icarez but I didn’t see them at the time. It looks like all of their protectors (3 diff styles I can see) don’t have a notch. If you look at the belkin protectors in the Apple store they look like the icarez with no notch.

Yes I also noticed this. So the 14 PM speaker is likely to be smaller or further up than the 13 PM?

Shellrus sapphire screen protector for a real 9H and peace of mind to throw it anywhere.

No comparisons in terms of scratch resistance (see down below for a table with a test of all major screen protectors.. lower is better):

So now I’m really curious to see if the protectors such as the iCarez, Belkin with the full gram no notch actually fully fit the front. Not sure what to go with here. I see Tozos is on Amazon now as well. I used their brand on the 13pm and it has been great. The .26 really feels different than .33 thickness of most others. At least to me.

I’d love to know how these worked and see a picture of the results if anyone gets them to try.

Mine came today, looking forward to seeing if goes on perfect and if I don't mind not having black borders like on the Spigen Align Master I have too and have used for a few years.

I will update with how the install goes when I receive my phone.

I can't seem to find a reputable one that is a privacy glass.

Flolab is considered one of the best, and have a privacy version for 14 already available:

Has anyone used one of those back glass screen protectors that is cutout around the camera hump?

I like it but $30, sheesh.

So, I just did a thing. I have a friend who swears by totallee. I pulled the trigger and bought their 14 Pro bundle which brings, a case and screen protector. I will let you guys know how that is by this weekend if it arrives in time. 👍

Anybody else get the armorite screen protectors? I didn’t know there was a black border on these. Does anyone know if it interferes with what you see on the screen?

I had em on the 13 Pro Max - the border only sits on the edge of the phone, it helps it seamlessly mesh into your phone. You don’t even realise you have a screen protector on!

I usually use standard ESR glass protectors but have bought the ESR armorite for my 14 pro.

Apart from being harder glass and having a black edge, I assume so it looks like you don’t have a protector on, any other differences? Is it thicker? Easier to apply? Has the black edge interfered
With the screen at all on older models? Etc?
These make phone borders even thicker because they cover few pixels all around the screen. I don’t like black border glass.

This is my worry with using one of these. Is that the black border isn’t aligned with the edges of the phone

Did the glass crack on you at all?

It should be aligned, but no matter how you install them if you look at the screen at some angle, you’ll notice that you’re missing few pixels of the actual screen. I’ve had these on my phone and every time it was the same no matter brand.

The best ones for me are Spigen EZ fit with or without notch cutout.

I have to say I’m one of the few that had a subpar experience with the durability of the ESR Armorite. I’m currently on like my 3rd one and it cracked each time. I did expect more if I’m honest but I also wonder if I just got a bad batch or something.

I like the black border on the screen protector because I generally go case-less. If I was using a case, I wouldn’t mind. But without a case, I think most screen protectors stick out quite a bit!

Reading this makes me want to return it lol

I think stick with it - I do think my experience was the exception and not the rule. If you look at the U.K. iPhone pre-order thread, most people swear by it! I'm still undecided if I want to go with it for this year or if I want to try something else...

I will say that their customer service was good. When my second screen protector broke (pack of 2) I reach out to them and, very politely, questioned the quality of the screen protectors. They sent me out a free pack of 2. Saved me money that I was going to spend ordering a new set.

Cheers.

I’m gonna send these back and get the standard ESR ones then

I normally use ones with the black border too and am not sure I would like ones without them, I’ve seen them on my sisters phone but just didn’t love it and thought the protector with the black border looks better but who knows, I hope this one can change my mind!

First timer when it comes to these. I have never used a glass screen protector (I usually get the entire films, but I'm not sure if Apple will be carrying them for the 14 Pro)

This may be my first time using one. Is it noticeable at all when it on the phone? Or if it is removed, is there strong residue on the phone?

Can anyone speak to the differences between the ESR Armorite and the standard ESR? I've only used the standard ESR and so far the differences I've seen are the standard ones have a clear border and holds up against 33 lbs while the Armorite has a black border and holds up against 100 lbs.

Got myself the Hoda Sapphire for 14PM. Used it on my 12PM and no scratches/micro scratches till date. Peace of mind for 2 years till the 16 arrives.

P.S I upgrade every 2 years. It's expensive but worth it IMO.

I find the ones with black borders never lift. Had many issues with lifting of tempered glass protectors around the power button and corner area after a week or two. Not with black bordered glass.
Mocoll make the best ones in the world. Alas, can’t get them anymore in the USA.
