Everything seems to devolve, one way or another into Orange Man Bad, It's Trump's fault, or the fault of the politicians I don't like, or whatever.
It's a virus. To think humans have that much control over it is hubris. A lot of people have gotten sick and or died. The fact that so few in relationship to world population have died is sort of a miracle.
In the US, all that is Covid seems to be laid at Trump's feet. I don't think that's fair. HE shoulders some blame, no doubt. But so does the entire body politic. This would include the majority of world leaders. By any metric this is a world wide problem. A humanity problem. Not a US, or UK or China, or EU problem.
In every country it seems as though the opposition "party" has seized on the opportunity to lay blame, point fingers, and make accusations for something that is essentially outside the control of any human at the present time. Infections numbers are rising in the US and the EU. Many of those infected in the US can't trance their infection back to a single event anymore. Some people get infected and die, while their spouse who shared a bed with them never even contracted the virus. There's no controlling something like that, so there's no blaming it on one person or party, or organization.
It's human nature to want someone to blame. We like to point fingers, make accusations, anoint scapegoats and elevate heroes.
I think we are reaching the point where people are so tired and worn out by it all that a large enough majority are going to say the hell with it and just do what they want. They will deal with the consequences whatever they are and move on with life.
