element colorwarepc

Element is just as bad as colorware pc

Charging 900$ to paint an Ipad and 100s of dollars to paint an iPhone.
your using less than a cup of paint.

I hope it does work.. because i love the look of my case.. it just doesn't work without KILLING signal

If I read your post correctly, you are stating the signal is killed. How in the world can you say that since it has not been released or tried by anyone yet. If you do a search of the Element Vapor Pro you will find threads and posts, probably over a hundred, stating that signal is not effected. Several reputable reviewers state that this is true. Do you think Element wants to go through the problems they had with their earlier (original) model with returns and negative posts all over again? They have proven that they can do a design, with polymer inserts (called hybrid), that works, period.

he refers to his knock off he got from ebay for cheap, right?!

The type of car I drive is irrelevant, you'll just try to make some analogy that won't make sense given this topic.

The case isn't worth the asking price, don't be delusional and try to sell yourself into it because you like the case. I understand we buy into more expensive things for the sake of vanity at times. That's fine, but just as long as you're well aware of that, no big deal.

The type of car you drive/bought is very relevant..why did you spend the cash on it and not another? You obvious thought the vehicle was worth what you paid?

It's ok..don't be embarrassed of the car you drive...as long as it gets you from point A to B....looking good in it is another topic.

IMO, I don't care for the Sector5 design nor the price....what I do know is the more parts you have to manufacture, the higher the price. I wouldn't pay $160 for it...mayb $75 I would.

seriously, what type of car do you drive?

People, no one wants to hear your crying about how expensive it is. We've gotten to this point where we demand everything to be cheap and don't care about where it's from or what it's made of. If you don't like it, go buy your plastic $30 case elsewhere. If you want to support a company that manufactures in the US with high quality parts, this is for you.

I don't think you understand the expense of producing something like this.. It starts at the time of Engineering and goes all the way down through materials and cost of the CNC machines. Molding polycarbonate in China is CHEAP. CNCing blocks of aluminum in the US is not. Feel free to keep saying the same things over and over though

Wasn't the first batch supposed to be sent out to people already? Now they are taking orders for batch 3 when batch 1 has not shipped. No way I would consider buying this before seeing pics that you guys post first.

I don;t think you understand my post.. i was replying to someone that was talking about the 13 dollar ebay one.

Second. I really hope the ACTUAL Element case works.. I have not tested that since i don't have it. But i have put padding around the phone and enclosed it in aluminum and it sure as hell does lose signal. I even have a full body skin and it doesn't help SO. again i'm just speaking from experience that i have. A full aluminium bumper will cause signal degrading. As for ALL bumpers? I hope not. I want a Vapor Pro style one for the iphone 5.. BADLY.

I have a purchase email available today for sector 5 shipping on nov 8th ill be in transit so cannot have it shipped to me.

wait till they have the fake china ver from alibaba, u can get them for like $20 lol... n they are just as durable, appearance might not be 100% as well done though but close enough... i do have a legit white vapor pro too, loved it on my 4s... i dropped the phone like 10-15 times after everytime i get drunk at a club, the case is like aluminum fcked, edges fly out and paint chips, but the phone has absolutely no scratch or cracks. However, for some weird reason, i can't reason myself into buying a case again from EC for my i5... maybe if element case offers a 40-50% off, otherwise its gorgeous before ur first drop....

same thing with a naked iphone.

For me, it isn't the protection that I'm interested in. It's the design and look. I like how the sector extends the design. That's what I'm paying for. And It pleases me that it has the built in functionality as a protection device also.

I pre-ordered the Sector 5 because:

...I like the way it looks and - as the previous poster stated - I view it as an extension of the iPhone; something to set my iPhone apart from the other 5+ million without cheapening it.

...I appreciate the fact that it's designed and manufactured within an hour or two of where I live (I bought a cheap Speck case to tide me over and returned it because the smell of chemicals was so overwhelming on the mass-produced-poorly-designed-rushed-to-market-piece-of-crap).

...I've dropped my cell phone once in the last thirteen years so I have no more concerns about damaging a $160 "case" than I do the phone.

...Did I mention that I find it to be one sexy slab of metal?

I'm just a sucker for aluminum and carbon fiber, I suppose.

Supposedly they are shipping a batch out October 18th. Hopefully some of you guys can post some pictures in here and give a review of it.

Same here, I did overnight shipping so hopefully it will be on my phone this Fri. Really excited about this case, I hope it doesn't disappoint

I will try! I don't wanna ruin the surprise though for when you get it.

Has anyone received an email from Element saying they have shipped the cases?

I got an invite, but didn't use it. I decided I did not want to be a first batch giunnie pig, I really like the vapor comp design instead, new colors are going to be announced in the coming weeks, and I can't swallow the price tag.
