To those who ordered without a preorder email notification (used someone elses link) you might be mad after reading this:

"we’re verifying that all orders have an email address that is on the invite list for each ordering group. If you managed to order a case and you’re not on the list, your order gets put on hold and you will be contacted for verification." -ecadmin @ elementcase

That's ridiculous. If they put my order on hold then I'm going to cancel. I need a case ASAP, and if I have to wait until November then i will have to order something else before then. They really should have handled this better. Each invite should have allowed one purchase and then stopped working. And they shouldn't worry if someone else used the link as long as each invite was good for one purchase.

They charged me on the 2nd, so if they delay my order when they told me my case would be shipped on the 18th they are going to have a firestorm on their hands.

I was a legit preorder but this is what I'm thinking. They are worried about having a case for everyone that legitimately preordered. I know for a fact not EVERYONE actually followed through with their preorders. So when orders for that specific batch began shiping, im sure they let 'non-preorderers' through so they could fulfill the entire batch. And those who didn't fit in the left over slots will be held for next time i guess.

Of course that is speculation on my part, but it would make sense.

I just contacted them about shipping for my sector 5, and got this:

"Thank you for contacting Element Case. Shipment for the Sector 5 cases begin today. This means that it may ship out today but we cannot guarantee all orders will be shipped out today. As soon as your order is ready to ship, you will receive a notification from FedEx and from Element Case as well."

For everyone waiting for a Vapor Pro or Vapor COMP for the iPhone 5, don't hold your breath.....

Interesting. I would have at least thought the Comp would make a great come back on the iPhone 5.

Oh well. :\

It may be that the antenna design on the iPhone 5 is different enough that the Comp or Pro design just doesn't work to preserve reception both cell and wifi. The sector 5 you notice has composite material at each antenna separation, all four of them. The Comp and Pro were designed specifically for the IPhone 4 and 4s. To use the design in an arbitrary way on the IPhone 5 just wouldn't make sense. The look has a function.

there's already a China-made Vapor Pro for the 5 so we'll see if that design affects the reception..but Element could be on something in using those 4 plastic pieces...otherwise, why would they place the plastic pieces there and not on one entire side or whatever.

I hope element case knows more about the antenna location and function the we do. When they designed the Pro the composite piece was located so the cell antenna and the wifi antenna were not bridged by metal. Good thinking. Maybe the location on only some of the Sector 5 composite pieces serve that function but for balanced symmetrical look they used it at all four corners.

These guys do this for a living! I'm sure it's Been tested and tested until it was perfect. I have no doubt it will work perfectly. It's design that I am not crazy about!! Unless it looks better in person.

When you log into your account and view the order for the Sector 5, does anybody else's say this:

"NOTE: This order has already shipped or has reached the final stages of processing. Therefore this order is no longer editable."

Yes mine says the same thing, but it's said that for 2 weeks. I am starting to think mine won't ship this week. Notice says it won't start shipping til the 18th. It's end of day on the 18th and still no shipping notice!

According to their FB page, they said that FedEX hasn't come yet to pick up the shipments. Granted, that doesn't mean that all orders that were designated for the 18th will ship or anything of value, but it's at least a glimmer of hope? :\

As for the editable thing, same boat, though it's up for November the 1st via Overnight so here's to waiting!

I just checked and mine says that. I ordered september 28 and mine is supposed to ship today October 18.

I ordered mine a day after you, and it says it was supposed to ship Oct 18. I used someone else's link though, but they haven't contacted me.

I got hammered a few pages back so flame on again.

Same crap from the same crap company from 2 years ago. These guys are kings of marketing overpriced "premium" products and delivering horrible service.

Well they better not hold my case because I did not get a legitimate email. They charge me since my order and will have my money all this time...yeah I don't think so.

I ordered mine on Oct 2nd and have received no email saying it was being held either. They also charged my account the same day. Usually a company won't charge you until the item ships. I feel they need to fulfill their obligations or contact us and let us know what the deal is!

The time it will take them to "check" our orders is time they can use to build our cases. If they put me on hold then I will cancel and demand interest on my money they have been holding to. Most place charge at shipping time not weeks before

Well we will see if they actually ship today. I called yesterday and the rep told me it may not ship until Monday due to the amount of orders. I was expecting a tracking number today considering they have not contacted me otherwise.

Anyone get a shipping notice yet????
