I watched the first one last night and can't decide whether its going to be genius, or total tosh...... But it sounds like its worth carrying on with for a bit....

Even in the first ones, there were some appalling cliches though

Holy smokes... just finished the episode where, um, there was basically an orgy! Oh MY! The scene with our police friend working out in the gym and well has an unexpected encounter and from the sound of it emission! That was funny.

The series is getting better as we move the story along. I am curious to see where the story goes with the character named Sun.

Digging this so far!!

It took me the first 2-3 episodes to get into it but after that I was able to follow everything much easier. I actually watched the first episode twice.

rhett7660: When I watched that episode I thought the same thing. I was trying to explain the show to a room mate and that happened to be the episode that was playing. When everything was all said and done I just looked at him and said, "Understand it now?"

Ahhhh..... Gotcha re: Nomi/Michael. Didn't even pick up on that until mom said the name. Very interesting!

Remember the first episode? When they go to the pride parade as a flashback and a person verbally attacks her because of what she blogs and her GF defends her and Nomi stars crying because of it?
Well, the person who attacks her asks: are you the TRANS blogger who writes...?

We didn't even pick up on the "Trans" part at all... and yup missed that part about the "Trans Blogger"........

Finished this over the first weekend it was available and I enjoyed it. I thought it was a touching story that discussed the aspects of humanity between different perspectives throughout the world.

I hope a second season and perhaps more seasons are made.

HAHAHAHAHA......... I had the same conversation with a friend!

You are not alone when it comes to getting into the series. I had to watch the first two or three episodes also. I was wondering what the hell I was watching when it came to the first episode.

I just watched the first episode with a bunch of people. Really intriguing. Kind of reminds me of Heroes. Definitely will keep watching this.

I'm about half way through. What a great show! They have made the characters so real, with such emotion, and backgrounds that really make you feel for them. Which, I suppose, is one of the points - making the audience sensate.

There have been a few scenes where I've cried along with the characters. I don't know whether to speed through the rest because I'm enjoying it so much, or make it last so that it won't end too soon!

Draw it out. I hit it hard now going cold turkey. Be strong! Pace yourself!

Episode 6 tho....

Im on episode 6 now, and still finding it quite compelling despite the nauseating cliches in it.

I love the part where
Lito meets Will and he has plastered this HUGE smile on his face and says "Hi, I'm Lito" and Will's face is completely lost its color and Lito says "We had sex" with an even bigger smile.
I think that was the funniest most awesome part of that episode for me.
I am dying for series 2. Of course, knowing it's a Netfliz Series, they are already in the works for a 2nd Series, and having the Wachowskys writing and directing and the huge success this underdog is getting, there will be even more of it to come. Or so I can only hope. :)

Just finished it tonight. Good stuff.

I'll give it a solid 3.5 out of 4 stars. Good overall story and interesting characters. Production value is quite high as well.

I'm back to watching it, episode 6 last night "Demons". The group sensuality concept was interesting, making me think about the basis of societies' biology based morality. It is beautifully filmed having a quality rarely seen in your average TV show.

Just finished the season and I agree, that scene was freaking funny! Come on guys, we are on a schedule here!

Overall, a pretty good series and I am really interested to see how they are going to deal with the "whisper man" in season two!

I'm up to episode 10, and wow! This is a unique story in its presentation, successfully ambitious, mostly about human relations and discovery built around small bursts of action, and a framework that's been fairly common, people who are different and are being hunted my a mysterious organization.

The symphony scene in this episode was outstanding and emotional in its non-action way. ;)

For myself the only discomforting aspect of this show is the prominent sexuality displayed between the gay and transgender couples who are virtually the only ones in this show having sex. :p I really don't need to see it. Interestingly, I usually lap up heterosexual sex scenes, but I'll acknowledge, they are frequently used in shows as an aside to up the ratings, usually contributing little to the narrative. There can be a good story-related time for a sex scene, but mostly they are not needed gay or straight to enhance the story.

I just finished season 1 and I really liked this show. Can't wait for season 2. Props to @Huntn for making this thread early on so I actually bothered to watch the show.

Whos everyones favorite character? For me its a 3-way tie between Wolfie, Lito, and Sun.

Thanks! I just finished Season 1, thumbs up. :)

Finished season 1 last night..... its certainly not the best quality of drama's and parts of it for me were really really naff, but its still quite a compelling watch.

It certainly won't ever be my favourite show, I tend to like things that I can slot into a time and a place, like hell on wheels, vikings, 1864, generation war etc...... but its a good trash thing to watch with my friend who likes that kind of stuff.

Finished season 1 the other day, and I like Sense8 the same way I like Orphan Black. It's intriguing and fun, but not the quality of the truly great shows of the last 15 years. In particular, some of the dialog and scenes are really uncomfortable and some of the acting is suspect and there are places in the show where the directing clearly says "You're supposed to care about this", but you really don't.

Two of my favorite shows right there!!!!

I agree, not the best but I was entertained and it has me wanting to see what they do with season two.
