Read that. I do hope they improve the writing and get to the point a little faster. Way too much meandering.

Overall though, good show. I burned through it pretty quickly.

I noticed in another show, The Killing, they had so much time to work with on a single case, and then they frick'n took a total of 2.5 seasons to wrap it up, that at times it felt like there was too much character development, and or stuff that could have easily been left out. How many inconsequential conversations do we need? For Sense 8 the season was a lot shorter, and it was important to develop character relationships, but sometimes, there to, it had too much talking and reflecting. A couple of times I told the TV, I got it all ready, move on! ;)

Loved this show. I was excited about it when I first saw the promos. It did take a little time to figure out, but all in all a very fun show to watch. I enjoy getting "involved" with characters. I'm waiting impatiently for season 2.

Watched this series over the holidays. I was not planning on binge watching the whole series...I failed.

Watched the 2 Hr Sense 8 Christmas Special- Happy F******* New Year (yes, that's the title). To prepare myself I watched the 12th episode, Season One final, and that was just as excellent as I remember it. This episode was a 2 hr filler mostly fluff, little substance IMO until the new season starts in May.

Slight spoilers follow..

Very minimal story movement forward, a lot of time spent with Riley and Will in hiding, Will shooting up so the silver haired villain (Mr. Whispers) can't locate them, Sun continues to have fun in prison, Wolfgang continues to knock around Berlin considering his ties to the mob, Lito comes out of the closet, Cap gets a new Van Dam bus, and they all have a birthday with another big group sex session to celebrate. I've always liked nudity but I'm a bit disappointed, that alone does not make a story. Hope to see more of Naveen Andrews, who was in the special, but I fear his days are numbered.

While I am in the same boat as a few others, I haven't watched the Christmas special yet either, however this trailer looks really good and I am ready for season two!

The Christmas Special is listed as Season 2 Episode 1. I just watched episodes 2 & 3. The narrative is moving forward nicely. Impressive fight scene. :)

Edit:fixed Season number

Just finished Season 2, overall I give it a thumbs up.

My critique is that while I enjoy all the subplots for each sensate in the cluster, the vast majority of time is spent with the subplots with much less time and progress devoted to the main narrative, the conflict between BPO and the sensates. It's too bad many of the episodes were not more like episode 11, with a lot of action and significant things happening.

Some suspension of disbelief is required for how easy it is for Nomi and Bug to hack into any facility any where in the world in a matter of minutes. :)

There is a lot that goes on and for season 2, if I needed to go back and review, this link a detailed recap of the entire season was helpful. :)

This is a good quote from the link:
Sense8 was never meant to be sensible. It's about eight people who exchange sensory capabilities — somewhere in this premise, there is a parable about global empathy. The show is absurd by definition, and the more you give into its freewheeling tomfoolery, the more the ride is worth your time. So, let's dig our knuckles into the mishmash.

Well, it looks like not that long after season 2 came out the series has been canceled: http://deadline.com/2017/06/sense8-canceled-netflix-2-seasons-1202105872/

I'm sorry to hear this. However I will critique the show and say Season 2 was not a good as Season 1 and if it was mega-expensive to produce and did not become a big hit (although I thought it was)...It was a very unique story. Anyway, I guess it's not a surprise. :(

I remember a decade or so ago, HBO cancelled Rome after 2 seasons due to expense of filming in Italy.

Now that it's been cancelled is it even worth it to watch season 2 or will the ending just leave you frustrated with a cliffhanger?

Kind of curious about that as well in relation to season 2.
