Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

Yes I order on launch day at 9:45 am. The phone is still preparing for shipping, delivers by nov 1. Its unbelievable how long its taking to ship a gold phone. Im hopping to get it sooner than friday. We will see....

It irks me that a bunch of us with 9/20 orders are still waiting for shipment when some of those who ordered later are already tracking -- and the color/build/carrier is the same.
I even called in to complain about it and the rep confirmed that this shouldn't be happening. Except, it is.

Folks are saying they ordered a phone at xx:xx time. Not including their time zones. I got a confirmation email at 8:29 CST Sept 20. That may be entirely different time to someone over in the UK or California. I also have a tracking number. Ordered a 64 Gold AT&T. Surely it's not that messed up. I remember seeing people say "Got my order yesterday, and ordered on Oct. 5th". They wouldn't mention color/carrier/storage. Just the fact they got there phone. I encourage you to stick it out! Apple is saying that you should have it by Friday! That's less than a week! Hold on people! And yes I know "that's easy to say, with your phone already shipped." No need to remind me. Just trying to help you guys stay positive!

24-28th Oct. are specifically "shipping" dates. Not delivery dates. So your phone at the latest will ship out today. "Delivery" dates seem to vary on here. Latest I've seen is Nov. 4th.

Me too! Mine touched down at 7:58 pm Korea time. So now Alaska right? Delivery date tomorrow to Georgia! Once it hits the states I'll breathe a bit better! 2 day business shipping courtesy of Apple.

After looking at others here's what to expect:
Departs Korea right before noon
Arrives in AK at noon (local)
From there it hits Louisville and over night tonight and into the morning it travels across the states to all of us.

I have expedited 2-3 days shipping, was upgraded from standard like many. Expected to be delivered tomorrow. I hope it's true, I NEED that phone!
Same here. It's in korea now. But my delivery is 10/31. So i guess i'll be waiting until thursday to see my iphone

Wow I can't believe that people still have not received their phones. I ordered on launch day 4:26PM Eastern and when I received the notice that I would receive it on Nov.1st I started checking my local Apple store and was able to get a 64gb gold. I've had it about 2 weeks and to see people still waiting is just unbelievable. My friend got a 32gb gold and reserved hers online like a week ago. Hold tight they are coming folks but this was a terrible launch. This should not happen again...
You are right. I have a shipping date from 24-28 oct. But my delivery date is 31/10. If its not shipped today, how it will be delivered on time?!
