Incheon, Korea, Republic of 10/28/2013 7:48 P.M. Arrival Scan

I dont know, maybe its still in Korea. I dont have an arrival scan in korea.. Maybe it'll ship tomorrow or wednesday. Because my delivery date is on thursday 10/31. Why mine is not moving? UnLike most of the posts ive been reading here. Just asking. And anyone has the same status as mine?

Sort of, mine still doesn't show a departure from China (latest update was Friday @ 11pm)

I really think a slew of Gold iPhones were packed on Friday - Could be a bottleneck on the out-take.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but in all fairness I think this happens every launch, in fact I know it has. I've had every iPhone since 2007. Keep in mind that the roll out has been to many, many more countries than in previous years. Having China launch at the same time as the US has been better because it lowers the number of phones leaving the country, which has happened many times---which then escalates the price (ebay.)

I'd say the only thing that Apple may have fallen down on is to not recognize how popular gold was going to be. Other than that, this has been one of the better roll outs.

Yes, I totally understand having short supply but the way that the supply has shifted pretty much means that some people will get their iPhones prior to orders on launch day. The other method is going to a physical store but my local one only had 2 gold iPhones on launch day and has had probably 20 more in store since release which basically means that Apple has not forecasted demand, forced supply to retail stores, abolished the pre-order system, and messed up with their online queue system. I've stocked a store before so I know what a smooth launch looks like. This, unfortunately was not one of them. The strange thing is that some of the supplies are getting shipped from first and second batch production from store inventory to fulfill online demand but the third batch is still getting pumped out right now. I still have units outstanding for the third batch. I think one of the other main things that kind of bakes me is that some of the supply has been diverted to NYC for the flagship and sister stores there.

I hear you. I guess I'm more forgiving than most. This happened (more or less) last year as well. I was lucky by waiting and through a little perseverance got mine in two weeks from a store --- bypassing the whole order process. If I'm not mistaken Apple didn't do pre-orders for iPhone 5 either.

It's unfortunate that (it seems) there are still people who ordered on launch day waiting to receive their phones. I ordered a week late, when I received an unexpected upgrade offer from AT&T (you know, the one that they graciously let you buy a new iPhone (64GB) for $649.00) I'm also a lot more patient --- comes with age.

Still exciting though, which is why I frequent this forum every year.

I'm the exact same as you so far, even on the time lol.

Now we go our separate ways. My phone heads to NY. Next flight is at 3AM EST from Louisville to New York.

Touched down in Louisville. It's been a good ride everyone. Now it's time we go our separate ways! It's been real. Mines headed south. :)

Aweee mine is coming I CT will it go toward NY and then get driven down?!

I also hope everyone from launch day phones have shipped this is so messy. I hope it isn't like this next year and I feel bad for those who order IPads oh lord.

My phone has finally shuffled its way off an assembly line. And, as a bonus, it can see the future! Apparently it told UPS that it was (or would be) processed at 11 PM on 10/29 in China. As of 10:30 PM on 10/28 here in California, that time has yet to exist anywhere!

I'll start taking questions now, but be warned -- you may not like what the phone has to say.

tl;dr
Gold 32gb AT&T ordered 9/20 @ 8 am EST
Shipped 10/28 @ 9:45 PST
Appears to travel through time

OMG YOU'RE GETTING A TIME MACHINE!!!! :O

I guess it was worth the wait haha

Yeah so if it still says on time, they didn't scan the phone and it will be scanned when it lands in Louisville. For 10/31 phone will probably be shipped tomorrow or Wednesday. The Louisville flights (5 of them) land at 1ish AM EST.

Ha! U were right! Scanned in Louisville at 1:01am. I guess we did miss the departure scan. Well mine should hop on a truck and drive south. Good luck to u and everyone else on this 29th date. We will have our phones soon!
