Sept. 4th - Spec Bumped iMac(s)

Someone bumped this thread. Crap.

::backpedal, backpedal, backpedal::

The eating of the crow shall commence tomorrow.

Weird.

Suddenly I'm not as confident as I was when I created this stupid thread.
:D

Everyone! it will come when it will come lol Definitely within this next 2 months and we know that unless apple has other plans which I really doubt. So lets just relax and wait patiently.

I knew from the jump we wouldn't get iMac's today. I hope we see new models by years end. Seems like they are due.

I already said not happening tomorrow today everyone just thinking I'm a retard, maybe you should start listening to me a bit more carefully

When I made this thread I didn't take into consideration two really important things.
1. Labor Day
2. The DNC

It's gotta be next week... or October. No other options really imo.

What does the DNC have to do with a release date? I agree that an update tomorrow is unlikely, but I fail to see how the DNC plays any part in that.

Not much of a prediction now with everything in motion but at least it's here this Tuesday. And no I don't know for sure but it seems VERY likely after sifting through evidence and separating the BS from the kernels of truth.

That new Geekbench score holds little weight imo just because of the processor. I mean it's possible that Apple could be testing a variation of the 3770 for their own purposes but I just don't think it's likely. The "K" in a processor will always be suspect when it comes to Apple.

What really peaks my interest are the stock slippages en masse as well as the couple of reputable analysts beginning to discuss this issue... at all.

Before I was adamant about there being an iMac in October... and that may still be true... but since these are only "spec bumps" and this is back to school time... it would make more sense for Apple to release them sooner rather than later.

And I'll be more than happy to dine upon crow shall I be wrong.

:D

I told you it wasn't happening today when around and ignored me and acted like you knew it all. You believe me now ??? I said its gonna be redesign and not happening on the 4th. I hate to be an ass but you really don't have a clue on what you were saying. Believe me now?

By the time Apple release the new IvyBridge iMacs, Haswell will only be a few months away. Might as well just hold on 'til then. :D

This is a pipe dream, but what if it gets released tomorrow? Maybe today's supposed release is pushed back due to Labor Day? Wishful thinking I know!

I hope we see it soon!!!!!!

The 2012 iMac saga has been a crow buffet for folks on here, myself included. I really did not expect to be in September w/o at least a spec bump.

Appropriately, the "burning bush" was a spacecraft.

Yeah, 'cuz if I was a hyper-intelligent FTL-capable being taking a casual interest in some primitive species on an untouched planet burgeoning with life, and I happened to crash my ship and lose the ability to return or communicate with home, and a native came to investigate, the first thing I'd say to him would be "take off your shoes!".

Guess it makes as much sense as the rest of the Old Testament though.

One may almost think Apple didn't, either. Hope all is well in the Ivory Tower . . . :(

In case you were wondering why you're not getting massive recognition for calling "won't be released on the 4th": For the last years, there have been 364 days a year where an iMac wasn't released (363 in 2009).
