Sept. 4th - Spec Bumped iMac(s)

Don't feel bad. There are people just itching to rake me over the coals for mine. I think they might want my flesh more than the new iMac, some of them.

I'm just trying to say that we have too much wishful thinking and look where it has gotten us. All I was trying to say is that it was obvious that the iMac wasn't going to be release today. And op was so certain it was because of wishful thinking, also he was certain that there the iMac isn't gonna get a new design when things clearly point out to it. So in other words op didn't have a clue what he was speculating about and I just hate when people talk out their as$ with no rational thinking. Don't you guys get it when the iMacs are close to be coming out we will hear more from the rumor sites so lets stop jumping from Tuesday to Tuesday I want an iMac as much as anyone here but we have to be more realistic about things and not be wishful thinking all the time. With that said lets see what the apple event has for us next week I know it's an iPhone event but then again anything could happen. One thing I know for sure it's that apple is more than likely release them after the back to school promotion because the back to school it just helping clear out current stock. But that's just my opinion.
 
Is there realy going to be an event next week? I mean shullden't the inventations have been seent out and published by any news site? I have read all rumors here so I know a lot is looking to be so but not a word about the invite wich shuld give us a clue what we'll see.

Apple usually sends out invitation a week before the event according to every rumor site the event should be next Wednesday so we should see some invitations going either today or tomorrow for sure

It's only 3 years since it had a redesign actually. I have the early 2009 iMac, it looks quite unsexy compared to the current design. 24", thicker bezel and more chin. Ok it's the same style but it's still different. If apple isn't able to completely remove the chin I doubt it will become much different. Apple likes aluminum and customers like it too. So as long as there's a chin there will be a similar design I think.
But rumor sites have heard from "reliable" sources that the new iMac looks more like today's tv designs. And because of the new screen tech they got going I'm suspecting no chin and screen going nearly all the way out to the edge. Apple always tries to remove as much unnecessary features as possible. There's also rumors of a new keyboard. I'm very curious, as I allready think the current keyboard has great design and is comfortable to use.

If it looks like the new Philips 6900 TV, would people still complain about the chin? I bet some would...

Oh well, at least we're getting the new VW Golf mk VII today. Built on a new platform. Hasn't happened since 2003. 490 days? Peanuts.

Event officially announced for next week, chances of iMac involved with this event ?

I hope for them to talk about a refresh (iMac) at the start then go on to their bigger product, the iPhone.

Ok if you've been reading what I've been writing lately you can definitely tell I'm not so certain about the sep 12 thing however still is a possibility. I'm not so certain like op was about sep 4 I said that it wouldn't happen he snapped at me I also said that it is indeed that every rumor is pointing out to a new design op also denied it and completely ignore what I said and what everyone it's been saying. I'm open to suggestions that why Im open to other suggestion on the release day even though I think it could happen on sep 12. So I'm not just talking out my a$$ here. I also said (notice above time) above that the invitation will go live today and tomorrow and guess what happened ..... Oh they send it out today just like I said. That's you mere luck I admit but I'm doing more educated guesses here than op, that's a given.

Good list though. I would be happy to see all of these options in a perfect Universe.

And a 6 core option would be awesome :O
