Stainless seems to be short supply although the Americans are having their October dates bumped to PFD. Mine is stuck on processing - Delivery 30th September

Just done an early roundup and no stock in all the regular places in the UK (online) - I think Apple have really kept stock to themselves this year. If there was a problem with the number of units available surely Apple know a launch is coming up and demand will be high!!!

Same here :(

I wonder is there walk in stock at all ? Anyone tried

Just spoke to Currys and was told they are getting stock this week, and customers will be contacted in the next 48 hours to get a delivery slot.

Given up trying to get one at an Apple Store. Do we reckon we'll get any movement on our shipping estimates? Seen a few US ones getting brought forward.

I've got a Nike 42mm on order but been given £200 Argos voucher as a bonus so might even be tempted to get an SS from Argos if they have any stock instore (can only use voucher in the shop!). Worst case scenasrio I wait until Nike! Just wish we'd see more stock available!

After the Argos saga earlier in the week mine was finally delivered by Yodel yesterday to my neigbour who's just brought it round .... 42 Aluminium SG with sport band.

Does anyone by chance know if you can add AppleCare to a watch without going in store ? (I know you have to take phones in person)

Cheers

You can't, you need to take it into a store if you're purchasing it after the purchase of the watch/phone because they need to fill in a little form on their phone to say it does't have any damage and works alright (to stop people claiming on damage made before buying it) sorry, dishonest people mean you've gotta go into a shop!

I wonder what the problem with stock was. Surely Apple know how many have been produced and how many each retailer has been offered?!?

Spoke to apple who couldn't do much spoke to the store who said my item was there. Order says still processing they say they are having issues with people's orders being here but them not being told

Just spoke again with currys and was advised they do not know when they will be receiving stock but will be offering 10% off purchase price as a good will gesture. I'm keeping my order with them until next week hoping for some activity, if not I guess I will try and pickup from store.

Great thanks for the info !

My Currys order is now showing as delivery within 5 working days from Tuesday 20th. Shame they won't let me change to delivery to store.

I don't think its the retailers fault. I think they have been told the No. they will get and that is what they have sold.

However then Apple probably went, ups we need to keep more for ourself have you seen the demand, we will send you more next week just a few/none today.

John Lewis, Argos, Currys the same has happened to them all, Bust buy Target in the US, ditto. Really bad of Apple to do that but not entirely the retailers fault. Agreed they shouldn't have taken your money though that is bad.

Important notes

Purchase AppleCare+ with your new Apple Watch. Or buy it within 60 days of your Apple Watch purchase:

  • At an Apple Store (inspection of Apple Watch and proof of purchase are required)
  • OR call 0800 107 6285 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)

Currys appear to have stock! Thrown a Black one in the basket for next day delivery so see what happens.

Got an e-mail my order is being prepared as well so see if I actually get a dispatch for tomorrow, I don't hold out much hope but you never know.
