I ordered an iPad from them a few years back and it was smooth enough. Ordered the Friday and picked up on the Saturday. No idea how their stock levels will hold up but if you're there early enough and they have some it's pretty easy.
Popped into the Manchester Arndale store on my way home. Said they don't anticipate too much of a rush for the watch so if I pop in tomorrow morning I should fingers crossed be able to pick one up.
I think you might be out of luck. They previously were showing that they were going to be made available tomorrow but they are now all showing as Out of Stock.
They did have a Rose Gold Series 2 in stock earlier but that has now gone. If you want a Black Stainless with the expensive strap they have 10 in stock at the moment but not for long I'd have thought.
I suspect they didn't get the stock they expected like other retailers.
Really pleased for those of you who have now received "dispatched" how exciting. I'm late to the party and was going to order via John lewis tomorrow morning but late last night decided to bite the bullet and pre order the Nike+ watch - so now have a 5 week wait!!! Yeah I saw that earlier and hoped it was just a template message they put up before they go on sale but it's not looking good. Might just order from Apple and wait a few weeks.

Yep. They had stock when I first looked but for the cheapest models only (aluminium).
Exactly my situation, want a stainless steel and get 8% discount through Perkbox.

I don't think so, unfortunately. I am not that interested in buying an aluminium AW, so I will probably wait until they get SS stock .
Well no stock in John Lewis, Apple aren't even showing the Series 1 or 2 at the moment and Currys forget it. I was hoping I might grab one of the 8am JL stock but they failed. It seems they instead decided to put 2/3 models on last night and that is your lot.

John Lewis have 6 of the series 2 space black stainless steel link band in stock if you have a spare grand in your bank
Just managed to secure a 42mm Space grey and black band Series 1 at Currys. I have reserved it for click and collect tomorrow. So if I fail to buy one at my Apple store whilst collecting my IPhone 7 I at least have one sorted.
Went to the Manchester apple store this morning. Stock is extremely, extremely tight. No stock of most models, only aluminium 42mm they had was the rose gold with midnight blue strap. Was either that, a 38mm silver one or a stainless steel one which I can't justify. So I've left it.

They had a handful of Ceramics, but the Stainless Steel I got was the only one they had in stock. It took 20 minutes to find it in the stock room.
Supply of Sports seems more plentiful.

I might be going past Bluewater Apple Store today so if I do I will see if they have any Silver Sport Series 2 for sale, which is what I want.
I went to the Leeds store and was told 'to reserve one online for collection', I told the guy that was different to the website saying 'available selected stores 16/09. Golden rule, shop staff always know the least about anything!!
