I'm wondering if I could grab one from the Apple store in Selfridges later today (around 13:00). Looking for a 42 mm either silver or space black. If anyone drops by to get one, let me know if you think it's worth me travelling!

The same happened to me! They said the rest of the models were likely already reserved, despite me telling them no such reservation option existed!

Has anyone ordered one from Very before? I tried and it then says delivery by 15th of October, how very helpful, not.

Apple Store Bluewater has no silver sport series 2 in stock at all. Got a couple of stainless steel and a couple of rose gold aluminium. I expect they will all sell in next hour or so.
I've ordered a Garmin from them a few months ago and they were great but I checked stock earlier and nothing available unfortunately.

Yeah. The crowd is big for iPhone pickups but watch is more tame. I would say you stand your best chance there!

Yeah, very confusing being told watches were reserved when that wasn't possible to do. I'll pick one up at some point when passing, I did that with the Pencil, was told to order online first thing in the day and then later I was in there and 3 were sat on the shelf on the day of launch!
I like Apple products but do find the sale assistants at stores get flustered/talk rubbish, I put it down to the shear amount of people they have to deal with on a daily basis. As a sideline to that I really do find it annoying to be directed to a website when the website says go to store, consistency of product launch surely should be communicated clearly via morning memo, nobody can say there's a lack of resources at Apple!!

Does anyone here ever bother with a protective case for their AW? Did have one but lost it a long time ago and it's fair to say my AW SE has taken a fair battering :-S.
