I can't remember how it has worked before. Does Apple do same day pickups on release day for Apple Watches? If so, anyone know when that goes live? Thanks all.
Depending on what page I was looking at it worded it as both ship by and delivers by 9/21. Up until about an hour ago it was listed as processing and it now says "item shipped" even though they've only sent the shipment info to FedEx.

AT&T Series 4 - 44m - Space Gray Aluminum - Black Sport band... been in progress and switched to preparing to ship earlier this morning via AT&T and just got "Incoming! We shipped your order" via fedex and will be here tomorrow. All long been saying delivery 9/21 so looks like that is gonna hold true.
I would assume UPS knows their operation well enough and know what they need to do to meet a delivery date.
got my card charged today for SS gold 44mm watch, initial estimate was sept28-oct2. i am guessing it will be shipped over the weekend.

sept28-oct2nd SS gold watch orders were charged today and changed to preparing to ship, so others also should be atleast 3-4 bump in their dates.
This is normal. Your card will be charged once you pick up your iPhone from the Apple Store.
As per the order status, it will change to "Ready for Pickup" later today and then head on over to the Apple Store tomorrow at your scheduled time to pick it up.
I'm in the next window (10/5 - 10/12). Here's to hoping mine gets the bump soon!
I used apple pay for my gold 44 SS gold that has a Sept 28- Oct 2 timeframe. Chase declined the charge but I went back and updated the payment and the charge went through. Looks like these will be moving shortly.
