Well I have one that sat in China for days, finally in Alaska. Now sitting there for what seems like will be forever. And another one that sat in Prepaing to Ship for 2 days and now slipped back to Order in Progress for the last 12 hours. How does that happen? So will it now go back to Preparing for 2+ days again before it ships? Very frustrating. Especially when the watches we’re getting are available in the stores. But not everyone can get to a store. I know other stores have them in stock too but we’re using some gift cards so stuck playing the waiting game.

Delivery just slipped a day to Nov. 6 by UPS "due to operating conditions". I've never had such chaos on delivery for any other Apple orders.

It arrived in Anchorage at 10:25 PM last night Anchorage time, but no departure scan from there yet.

Got the same message. For some reason it is in Ga. when I got my phone it went through Louisville Ky. Maybe that has something to do with it...

I'm thinking they're still stuck in Alaska, but the message came from Georgia because that's where the UPS headquarters are.

UPS has several flight delays going from Anchorage to Louisville. If you do a Google search for UPS flights from Anchorage to Louisville, you'll see a link for the Flightaware site showing the UPS scheduled flights from Anchorage to Louisville.

There’s another issue that could impact those of us who have shipments in the hands of UPS. From what I read, UPS is currently in contract negotiations with Teamsters. It sounds like UPS has made it’s final offer, and it is to be voted on by the Teamsters starting Nov. 7.

It does sound like UPS plans to have all packages currently in their system cleared out by the end of next week, so hopefully those already en route will get delivered before there is any ripple effect if there is a strike.

I have the same thing. This is exactly the kind of crap that makes me prefer to avoid UPS. I always choose FedEx over them when I have the choice.

FYI, I spoke with UPS and found out the delay is that they did not have enough pilots to fly the plane that had the packages on it.

In other words, they don’t want to hire enough pilots, and the few they have hit their hourly limit.

My Watch is also sitting in Anchorage with delivery having slipped about a week at this point. This is especially frustrating considering that I'll be near an Apple Store tomorrow that has my exact model in stock.

I guess they don’t have any drivers either since it hasn’t moved since arriving in Georgia.

I don’t think they were ever in GA. It now shows in KY. I’m now seeing another “delay” that claims a mechanical malfunction caused a delay. Now bumped another day back.

UPS blows.

Yeah I’m seeing the same thing now. At least it’s in Louisville maybe they can get them delivered faster than Wednesday.

Mine is also in Louisville, but scheduled for delivery on Wednesday. I also had the “mechanical failure” delay shown before the arrival scan in Louisville. I’m in northwest Indiana so I’m not sure why it will take that long to make the last 269 miles. I could drive there and back in 10 hours.
[doublepost=1541161597][/doublepost]Well, I just got a new “mechanical failure” text 3 hours after it’s arrival in Louisville.

Called UPS. They reached out to Louisville to see what’s going on. The delay message is repeating because of the first one in Alaska. I was told it would be delivered on Monday.

That would be good news, but at this point I will believe it when I see it. Did you originally have a Monday delivery or Friday?

I also just spoke to UPS who gave me the story about pilots in Anchorage. I told them that it has been in Louisville since 4:30 this morning with no delivery date showing (it actually could have made it here today based on the distance). They said it would be here on Monday and they will call me to confirm on Monday.

I've been getting ready to order a new iPad Pro but will probably wait until UPS gets their Teamster contract issue settled. I'm assuming if there is a strike that Apple with ship with another shipper.

I don't want to go through delivery chaos again so soon.

UPS told me Monday on the phone, but they just updated the details on their web site and now it says delivery on Wednesday.

According to Maps, I could almost walk to Louisville by that time.

This has not been UPS finest performance.

UPDATE: They just updated it again and now it says delivery on Monday.

Sheesh!

After being held hostage Louisville, KY since yesterday, now the delivery date shows Nov 5th again. At this point I'm not so sure if it'd actually be delivered on Monday either.

Well, it looks bad for Apple, too. People waiting a month for their order and then waiting longer for delivery because of avoidable delays. I know they want to force UPS and FedEx to compete for their business, but they need to use the most reliable shipper.

My watch has been sitting on some assembly line in China for 19 days now. Ordered on the 15th of October, and haven't heard a peep from Apple since. First product I've ever ordered from Apple that I've had to wait more than two days to own. So temped to cancel the order and just stick with my series 3, but I'll stick it out for a few more days and see if anything changes. I like picking my nose anyway, and scratching my butt crack.
