I next to never use landscape typing.

I don't use it very often either, I'd say approximately 95% of the time I use the keyboard in the portrait mode.

Agreed. I mean, don't get me wrong: it's nice to have the option. I'm sure many people love it. But the option has yet to serve any purpose to me. :p

Is the lock feature unique to the newer phones? I have a 3G and I can't seem to find it in the menu. I would love to lock out landscape mode. Thanks.
Yea I guess you can't turn landscape lock on with a 3G. The option is in the same controls as Multitasking, which isn't supported in the iphone 3g.

I find the landscape keyboard horrible.
Wish i could split it like the ipad keyboard. All those extra buttons are useless for the most part.

A date check cleared up my confusion about what is going on here.

I love looking at these old threads.

Check out the thread from 2001 when Steve announced the iPod. The general consensus was that Apple was getting into the market late or that the iPod was a dumb idea.

Landscape typing on the 6 Plus is nearly impossible, wish I could disable it so it would always revert to portrait like when watching a movie or something.
