To be perfectly honest, I actually mockingly laugh at the smaller iphones now. No going back when you try the Plus.
If a person has interest in the 6 why wouldn't they do this before purchasing? If they aren't why do they have to try it?point of the thread: don't go with your gut and assume one is better than the other for your own usage. Try the phones.
Where did you read/hear that apple wants developers to create apps that just scale up or down to whatever device they're running on? Designing apps that specifically for phones and versions specifically for tablets is what seperated apple tablets from android tablets.
Phone apps are designed to be used generally with one hand. I think most 6+ users are using the + with two hands which is why iPad apps on the + would make sense.
Yes. Many not aware of this, including myself until it was correct about the 6plus last year.
I know this wasn't true with the 6 plus, though there were claims it made a difference, it was ultimately not correct. I'm not aware of any change with the newer phones.Incorrect. OIS works on pictures too, although usually only at low light. It grants a slightly better photo in low light due to allowing the shutter to stay open slightly longer.
The biggest issue I have with it is that Apple gives it a couple premium features like a higher PPI display (not as big a deal to me personally) and OIS (I really want that). I think we'll get higher PPI in the next iPhone across the line at true @3X. But I wish Apple wouldn't hold back features for the sake of holding back features just because I prefer one screen size over the other. I'm willing to pay more to have the best iPhone—but they're not willing to sell me one in a decent size.I agree that the Plus is no replacement for a tablet. The few concessions made to its larger size are not enough to replace the iPad, but I would argue that if one has a Plus, an iPad Air will be a better companion than an iPad Mini.
I heartily disagree that the Plus is a bad phone though. It does everything the 6 does and more, especially in this year's s line. Yes, sometimes it's tricky doing things one-handed, but I quickly adapted to the size of the phone and wouldn't consider going back down to a smaller size at this point. It's great for gaming, reading, web surfing, all sorts of things. The 6s is very good at those things too, but the larger size of the screen and higher resolution make the Plus even better for those applications, and the increased battery life is fantastic.
The great thing is that Apple isn't forcing us into one or the other, the only people who feel unhappy are the ones who don't want a screen larger than 4". Everyone else can take their pick and decide what's most important to them. To me, the Plus fits in my pockets fine, it works as a one-handed device fine the vast majority of the time, and when it has to be used two handed, the many benefits outweigh the few cons for me. For someone else, portability and one-handed use may be key, in which case the 6s is the phone for them.
All of you who laughed at Android users for their big "phablet" phones a few years ago. Look at you now.
