Maybe they can call it "Apple Express": a story about how two nerds work to mass market the iCross-joint.

Just so you know Steve Jobs was a smart person! not a nerd, thats a huge difference

----------

Who cares who plays Vosniac?, every smart person knows by now that Steve Jobs created Apple I and II, Jobs needed someone like Vosniak back then because he din't had the iPhone calculator app back then

I know i typed his name wrong:cool:

Why not just cast the real Wozniak? Hollywood makeup is pretty amazing these days.

Do you know how epic that would have been? At least you could have someone on set that could correct all the inaccuracies.

Couldn't work. Anyway Wozniak is on the film in a supervisory role so inaccuracies will be delt with.

Wow, that's embarrassing, since his cameo was about how he looks like Jonah Hill and I've actually seen the movie. When writing this I was grabbing some movies from IMDB and didn't even stop to think about it. Swapped it out for another Rogen movie.

The cameo made me laugh, too.

I just didn't think women typically found him attractive that's all. I mean everyone has their own preference. I guess he's out of the stereotypical Hollywood "sexy". As far as him in the role,I hope he does a good job. I just haven't seen him in a serious role or a performance that would give me confidence in this film. But that's my personal taste.

I am not a woman.

Great casting

He'll be terrific. The early joker stuff, the genius coding machine code in his head, he can do that. The contrast with Bale is right.

Jessica Chastain: Lorraine Jobs? Or the mother of Jobs' first child?

Unless one of the Product launches was the original Mac, I don't see a role for Woz at all.

How about the good old Apple II?

I wonder how many user will start saying "There are too many movie look-a-likes with Steve Jobs."

This is only happen because he died, I would have guess these movies wouldn't have happened otherwise...

And I suppose when Tim passes, we'll see movie spring up about him as well?

Just let the man rest in peace....:)

If you wanna start doing movies, then u may as well start with steve jobs memorabilia too.

I don't mind maybe one movie, but seriously, how long can this last.... Will it be never ending saga for the rest of time ?

Its all for money ya, and that's the only thing that's keeping these going.. If users actually cared about steve job, they'd stop this. The story will slide... and suddenly the work at Pixar will vague..

The total running time of all the tiresome, repetitive "we have enough Steve Jobs movies" comments that I have read already exceeds the total running time of all the actual current and planned Steve Jobs movies. The big difference, though, is that Aaron Sorkin is a better writer.

Anyone that tells you they saw this coming is the biggest liar the Earth has ever known.

People are going to immediately pan this casting, but I can see it working out. Never forget what people said about Heath Ledger as the Joker prior to the film being released.

In Sorkin we trust.

Heath Ledger had shown he was capable of acting before he played the Joker.

Rogen is fun but I do not want to see another version of Woz as comic relief. Woz is every bit as important to the existence of Apple as Jobs and he should be treated with respect.

Cinema history has shown time after time that moviegoers are interested in biopics. Influential or historically significant people make for great and inspiring stories. The Kutcher film was a bit of an independent entry and wasn't backed by any of the major production companies. This is Aaron Sorkin.

In the last few years we've seen The King's Speech, J. Edgar, Moneyball, and The Social Network--and Zuckerberg is only 30. You think a film on someone who was instrumental in changing and inventing entire industries is too much? Okay...

Comedy is serious work. Ask any actor.

Yup. Being a good comedian actually requires a lot more raw talent and knowledge than being a good dramatic actor. Not to put down the latter. A good actor is a good actor, regardless of if they started their career making people laugh or cry. But it is a relatively easier thing to evoke pathos or anger in an audience than it is to make them laugh.

I agree. I'm sure Woz will have a far smaller role in this film than in "Jobs", but Roger will be a good fit. I still dont see Bale as Jobs though. Kutcher nailed it!

All in all, I definitely find more interesting Apple's earlier breakthrough years than the later mega-corporate years as a setup for a motion picture. What that gang of geniuses did in the 70s and 80s (starting off a garage!) was very Hollywood-esque. I'm not sure the later post-iPhone titan is as appealing from a dramatic point of view.

I'm thinking Woz will be important to the backstory in the run up to the introduction of the Macintosh, probably only a minor role but significant.

I'm not familiar with the specifics of the role, if any, Woz played in Apple's history except the earliest years.

Can't think of a worse choice that the incredibly annoying Seth Rogen.

No thanks for this movie.

by the year 2027 we will have 75 Steve Jobs movies , 15 straight to DVD releases, 15 Documentaries, 3 music albums, and 5 videogames where you can play Steve Jobs

I'm not doubting this casting, I actually love it (Dirty Randy Baby, for those who get it), but for the love of god, can we just stop with this whole Heath Ledger counter argument to a casting decision when we think people will take a dump on it. Using Heath Ledger's amazing performance as the Joker has become the new "Jump the Shark." Just stop it already. People using it now are using it to say for certain that whomever they (the studio) are using it for will ultimately succeed, because it was a surprise casting. That's not the case. Heath was a surprise for sure and a total darkhorse. Seth Rogen, not so much.

So please, just stop using the whole "Remember when Heath was cast as the...." you just sound insecure about the whole decision while pinning hope on a legend who has past.

ledger (and probably anyone else) was criticized because of how highly some rate nicholsons performance.

rogen on the other hand is just unfunny and untalented.

Let me get mine in now. So someone known for playing the sad sack slacker role is going to play one of the most driven men in recent history. Nice. His mannerisms are totally the opposite of Jobs. No insult intended for Rogen, he's a great actor and I like a lot of his movies. He's just completely wrong for this role.

And why do morons always say "look what they said about ____" like what somebody else said about something else has anything at all to do with what people are saying about the topic at hand?

Heath Ledger had shown he was capable of acting before he played the Joker.

I can't wait until I can jump into every thread about film castings with "remember that time when everyone panned the casting of Seth Rogan as Woz!?!??!"

I think Seth will be fine.

He is usually all about comedy, but he can be serious too. He gave a great speech to congress about alzheimers despite less than great circumstances. Yes, I know, that isn't acting. But it shows he can be a serious guy while having just a touch of charm. He won't be perfect, but I think he'll do just fine portraying Woz.

How about we actually see what the move turns out to be like since it hasn't even started to film yet, let alone has actually been made.

No.

I'm really glad not everybody listens to the audience that you represent and actually makes movies that at least try to be somewhat interesting and different. Can't stand seeing the same movies over and over again.

Plots like that have been done to death. If you think they are novel then you need to study up on the history of cinema.
