Ill put it in my signature but how do you get a link and make it a word like "apple.com" to "click here"? Sorry was always wondering and i wanna put the MRgoogle in my sig so i wanna know how thanks.
Obviously you've sorted it now, but for anyone else who wants it here is the sig code for a simple and small MRoogle link.
Code:
[plain][URL=http://mroogle.*************][SIZE=3][B][COLOR=Red]M[/COLOR][COLOR=Blue]R[/COLOR][COLOR=Green]o[/COLOR][color=#e0de1f]o[/COLOR][COLOR=Blue]g[/COLOR][color=Green]l[/COLOR][COLOR=Red]e[/COLOR][/B][/SIZE][/URL][/plain]

MRoogle - magik powerz
Indeed it does!

Glad so many are finding it useful, it always finds anything I'm looking for.

Google, genius!

Double post, sowwy...but they are seperated by a day!

The original MRoogle logo was created with a web based google-like-logo-making thing™, this thing didn't make the background quite white, and I also couldn't choose the order of the colours. Anyway, I have now acquired the Google font so have been able to mock it up properly and with full control in Photoshop :cool:

So the logo is new and improved, and the background is now finally the crisp white it always should have been. A minor thing, but it bugged me.

Signature linking

I have also put a page up (linked from the home page - "link to us!") - with a quick simple copy and paste guide for anyone wanting to link in their signatures.

Nice update :), not that I can remember what the old one looked like :p

Curious do you have the usage statistics from before this Shameless promotion and now. Just interested in seeing the jump in use.

Thanks :p

Now that it's fresh in people's memories, it's been spruced up, and that lots of people are linking to it, usage has increased a fair bit. :cool:

The figures aren't massive, but it's quite satisfying to see it's popularity grow (just over 4000 searches for the last month) :) More sig links! :D

I'm gonna put it in my signature for ya! :)

This is a very useful site! vBulletin search sucks!

Yeah added :D.
Just a suggestion, maybe there can be an included MRoogle sig link that's not as colourful? The colourful one included in this thread exceeded my sig character limit :eek:.

Well that is pretty easy to figure out because it's just adding a link, but here is that code for anyone not sure:

Code:
[plain][URL="http://mroogle.*************/"]MRoogle[/URL][/plain]

ill help advertise... i've used it before... was key at swimming through all those damn powerbook g5 threads

thanks to this shameless promotion i discovered MRoogle, great little thing I've already used it over 10 times since yesterday, and now it sits on my sig as well...:D

Just past the 10,000 searches mark (10,002!) since the revamp and heavy marketing :p on 5th Sept :) :cool:
Couple of months later and MRoogle is about to surpass 20,000 searches. :)

Thanks to all those that make use of it, really nice to see it slowly but steadily on the up, and an extra thanks to all those that link to MRoogle in their forum signature. I'm certain this has helped enormously. :cool:

I have mixed feelings about Mroogle. I am glad that it was made but when you see someone make a new thread and it was already made, the one that was already made could be like 5 years old. Going to look at that 5 year old thread would prove me any significance to me today. Sometimes people want their own information and not some one else's information. they want to see how people respond to their thoughts.

Um, what? It's a way to search, make of the results what you will. If you uncover an old thread and it doesn't suit your needs, start a new thread. I don't see the problem.

Be nice if it was integrated into the main bar, put next too the search link. Is that actually possible, I remember reading (IIRC) that Forum Spy was actually created by a forum user, and is not a feature of the forum software, but a 3rd party addon.

It's actually quite annoying - my post count would be significantly higher than it is now if I hadn't found MRoogle, or is that a good thing... :( :confused:

;)

30,000 now passed. :)
January was actually a record month. 6,466 searches served :)
And another record month for February. 7,556 searches, and it was a short month! :cool:
