So you get up and place an online order in the middle of the night and people can walk in stores and pick them up and sell them as scalpers before your order is fulfilled. It seems with each new product launch interation these days, Apple is losing focus, cooordination, and discipline. They are beignning to take on the personlaity of traditional retailers. For an organization that now takes stands on social issues around rights, what happened to the value of their historically most loyal early adopter customers? I have about had enough of these disconnected processes and need to realize Apple's success is beginning to take its toll on their abilities to execute.

Arden Fair mall Sacramento zero in store. Said they had 30 yesterday. Don't know if I believe that but in any case no luck. Trying Roseville Galleria next

"Boo" at Arden not having any. I hoping to maybe pick up there instead of waiting for the order going to my parents' house in SF. Oh well.

My experience mirrors that of everyone else here. All three Apple stores in Wisconsin have no Pencils today, and as far as I can tell, haven't had more than one shipment since launch. I've called every store three times a day since last Wednesday.

Fortunately, I was able to snag one of two Smart Keyboards from the Apple Store in Mayfair Mall yesterday (absolutely LOVE it by the way). I'm super disappointed with this rollout. Honestly, I would have probably held off on the iPad Pro purchase until the Keyboards and Pencils were more readily available, but thought they'd be in ample supply by now.

There's a pretty significant disconnect between different parties here. Every Apple employee I call seems super annoyed and always tell me to 1) check availability online (which isn't possible) or 2) order online.

I was at Mayfair store everyday since Monday. They told me they were out of both pencils and keyboards. I was there today at 11:30 am. I hoped to pick up at least the keyboard... Also yeah Apple employees seemed very annoyed and aggressive.

I was able to get one in Fort Worth at University Park Village. Knox and the store in Plano has them as well. Fort Worth store said they should have twenty but could only find the one I got. They were still unpacking. I was also the first person in this store to receive one according to them. Finally the hunt is over.

Just managed to get both the pencil and keyboard at Apple Store in Sugar land TX, it seems they got shipment today and had a few of both. There were some other people getting it too.

How long ago was this?

Just went by the Apple Store at Wellington Green and they had no pencils. I also called the Apple Store at Gardens and they also had none.

I was on the phone with an Apple rep who checked stock at some NYC stores.

- 5th Ave (Out of Stock)
- Grand Central (Out of Stock)
- Soho (Out of Stock)
- Upper East Side (Out of Stock)
- West 14th (Out of Stock)

I was informed that calling early in the morning to check for availability is helpful; Apple's retail inventory resets each morning at 8AM. It's a bit upsetting; random people shouldn't be stumbling across Apple Pencils in stores. The people who've placed online orders should be where any spare Pencil are sent. Oh well; looks like I'm still on the hunt!

I have no problem with them send some to stores while people are waiting for online orders. But the website should have updates for in store availability and the number you can buy is limited. They can also restricted to people who bought an iPad Pro.

The Apple inventory reset is only online for in store availability. It doesn't update if they receive stuff after that.

Houston Galleria has "a limited supply". No one on the floor knows that it's in stock. They just got their shipment and opened the box to sell me one. Apparently, I'm the first customer. Good luck!

HUGE THANKS - got one from Galleria - said they had less than 5 - looks like Houston got shipments today.

SUCCESS!! Got a pencil at the village point Apple Store in Omaha, he said they got about 20 in today and all sold out except for this one.

It seems, at least the local Apple store (OKC), is holding whatever  Pencils they get in, back for Business Accounts.

My business is a 1-2 person show, so still no go for me! :(

They still won't release any numbers as to what they've gotten it....and I worked on the iOS dev team back in 2011/2012!

I planned on picking up as many as my bank account would allow and shooting them out to forum members. I feel, if you're devoted enough to stay on this thread, than you damn well deserve one! :)

Ugh, a little frustrating.

Checked both of the SLC Utah area Apple Stores at around 12p today and no pencils or keyboards. The employees I talked to at both Fashion Place and City Creek said that they did not receive a shipment today, but one also told me that I could order online for in store pickup... which shows they really have no clue what is going on with the pencils.
