They only got two keyboards yesterday (no Pencils... again), which they told me over the phone. When I got to the store and asked for one, this fat lady, who was buying an iPad Pro Smart Cover, got unreasonably upset. She started breathing heavily, got red-faced, and started swearing at the nice lady ringing her up. "You told me you didn't have any Smart Keyboards!" She pointed at me and said, "And HE better not get the last one! What the hell is wrong with you people?!"
The employees, who legitimately didn't know they had any stock, huddled together in a confused sort of way, radioing the back for clarification. When they told us that they had two of them, the fat woman DEMANDED that they ring her up before me.
Of course, this type of reaction is well outside the norm, but these shortages are getting on people's nerves. In my 15 minutes in the store, I overheard at least one person passing on an iPad Pro because they didn't have the Keyboard in stock. I'm sure that happens multiple times each day. Frankly, I'm surprised the stock wasn't there since day one, especially when they've marketed the Pro heavily with the Keyboard and Pencil.
