Whilst it is possible to use any colour for the text, it is always a case of finding one that remains legible for the tiny, thin fonts of the widgets (if incorporated). There is also the necessity for the colour of the text to provide sufficient contrast with all the various areas of the background over which it appears. This is why there is a preponderance of white and 'auto’ text used. Incidentally, it is possible to produce black text by using the RGB sliders and setting one of the colours to '1’.

Exactly. And until they change the status bar text to match it’s going to look like an amateur jailbreak tweak but some of the text over color/busy background images are headache inducing. I’ve seen it mentioned before that someone wasn’t aware of this feature so I just like to throw it out there every now and then.

I think it looks better than 'great’: it is one of the best I have seen (IMO). any chance of sharing the background photograph with us please?
