Unless I missed it somewhere I feel like they missed a trick with the lock screen. They could have included dynamic wallpapers like in MacOS which changes based on the time of day and adapted it further by changing the colour and style of font with the background

I agree, I never saw the point of this. Worthless feature in my opinion. Live wallpapers that actually move when you wake up your screen are light years ahead of iOS on Android.

Widgets are worthless, at least in a way Apple is doing them. I actually got excited when Apple announced lockscreen widgets as I was thinking that they would look like homescreen widgets but on the lockscreen. But instead of doing something cool Apple took the easiest and the ugliest way out and made the widgets hideous and worthless. Feature people have been begging for Apple to add for years turns out to be a fiasco and only a small portion of iOS users will actually use them. Im not sure who is responsible of Apples UX design but even I could make something that would look cooler.

Mine does not have a option to show the phones battery that is why I asked lol. Mine only offers the Apple Watch Battery widget. Dang it. (iPhone 13 Pro Max)

Oh I think I know why! Essentially there's only one battery widget for your phone and your other devices/accessories to share, and for some reason, iOS 16 prioritizes the accessories over the phone for this display.

Whenever my AirPods are out, they immediately replace my phone on the battery widget. So by that same logic since your Apple Watch is always out, it has perpetual command over the widget.

Hopefully they add separate widgets for all devices as we move into future updates!

Put the widget in wiggle mode while in customization mode, then tap the widget to get to the widget settings. You can choose which specific device to show by turning off automatic and picking which one you want in the drop down menu

Awesome tip, thanks for pointing that out. Would've never known!

Still messing around on a final design I like, also with the colors to make them more readable, loving the battery widget bug so I can’t tell what my actual battery levels are 😂

Would be nice to move the phone charge widget into the middle. Unless I’m missing something it’s left or right only. My OCD would like it in the middle of the 2 other widgets!
Yeah, it’s kind of annoying they went the same route as the Home Screen icons and restrict the order in which these widgets can be placed. I have only one widget on my lock screen and wanted to put it on the right instead of the left but no dice.
