Wembley, I assume yours is this side of London too? I noticed that others were going to London City and not Heathrow.

I'm hammersmith, so yeah not far away. We unfortunately seem to be the slower depot! Fingers crossed.

Hate to dampen the party, but a colleague who is also based in Scotland, and whose last status is at KG4, phoned to ask when it would be delivered, and was told "tomorrow".

This whole thing has been a shambles.

Sorry Mr TNTCareUK but your operatives can't blame Apple for this. You've had the phones in your care for days, they have been sat in your warehouse for days, so why are some getting them today, and others tomorrow. Your company does one thing - would it be too much to ask them to do it competently?

Just had a thought as to why they take so long.

Apple dont want more phones going out with the glue still wet but they want to have them showing as shipped on time on their site. So as part of the carrier contract they have them on a slow delivery so that the adhesive dries before they reach the customer so that there arent anymore complaints about it.

Shipped to *******, GB 01 Jul 2010
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 15 Jul 2010 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 07 Jul 2010

Cant track it on the tnt site with ref number.

But the Apple site shows shipped july 1 and estimated delivery 5th-6th.
Anyone that have been talking to apple about this? Please tell me whats up. They've charged my credit card also. Starting to get really frustrated.

Hi, I had exactly the same thing, just phone Apple as it's now the 7th, the lady was very helpful, she said that over 800 iPhones got stuck in China at customs, and they are all due to land in Luxembourg at 16:00 today, they are all TNT and hopefully be at the customers door by Friday.

Tracking numbers will be allocated when the iPhones hit the UK.

Hope that was helpful for all of us that are still waiting.

Dave

Good morning, and thanks for your feedback

Good morning everyone.

As promised, we wanted to come back to you asap with an update.

since we spoke to you yesterday, we have delivered many more i-phones across the UK. We are working flat out now to deliver many more today.

we know many of you are still waiting, and are really frustrated. Please hang in there - we want to make things right for you today. The vast majority of your orders are out for delivery right now.

our tracking tool is still running a little behind our actual deliveries, so for any reassurance, please don't hesitate to tweet us at twitter.com/tntukcare, or call us on 0800 100 600

we look forward to speaking with you.

thanks,

The TNT UK care team.

Anyone in Scotland getting Out For Delivery?

It looks like Scotland are getting a second class service - phones shipped to London, out for delivery for England, but we have to wait a day for them to be then shipped on to Scotland.

Anyone fancy starting a courier service? Look at the competition - you clearly don't have to be able to do your job well to make money.

Of course I'm putting all these comments in so when I check in five minutes and find mine is OFD then I will have to eat my words.

Thanks for posting - can you confirm that deliveries to Scotland will be tomorrow and not today? And explain why this is, if this is the case?

That would be good, did you order multiple items?

So, this is getting to the point where it's just taking the piss. I called on Saturday to check on the status of my delivery, was told it would definitely be delivered on Monday. Called on Monday, as the website status still hadn't updated from "please call" - was told there was a delay and it would be with me on Wednesday. Told the agent that I wouldn't be home and I would like the delivery address to be changed to my work address, the other side of London. Agent assured me this would be possible, as on Monday afternoon, my phone still wasn't even in England yet. Called yesterday, as the website _still_ hadn't updated - agent checked consignment notes and assured me everything was fine and it would be delivered to my work address today. Checked online this morning and I now have two consignment numbers, with the new one saying it's out for delivery to my home address. Just phoned to be told that it's now at the wrong depot, because the depot staff ignored the agent's redirection order and so there will be a further delay.
I'm incredibly disappointed with the service from TNT. Their agents are all very nice and clearly try their best to be helpful, but it seems their efforts come to nothing. I don't really understand how there could be such a glaring disparity between how helpful the customer service dept are and how utterly useless the people who are actually in charge of actually providing the service are.
Might just throw off an email to Apple telling them how utterly unimpressed I am with this courier service and pleading that they don't use them for future product launches...

As anticipated - Humble Pie time!

Out for delivery in Edinburgh - looks like the TNT person who said that was hedging their bets.

Hi.

we'd rather under promise and over deliver!

we promise not to over promise, and be open and honest with you.

Please send us a pic of you and your i-phone 4 to our twitter account @tntukcare.

Another update:
I just got off the phone with an agent called Joel, who's arranged for a courier service to get the phone to the correct delivery address today. He kept offering to give me frequent updates in case I'm worried about it not arriving, which I declined, as I'm sure he's going to be busy with a truckload of other customers.
Again, I can only sing praise of the customer service agents throughout this entire experience - particularly this Joel fellow, who has been nothing short of outstanding. I'll be sending an email to the customer service line to let them know how much I appreciate his assistance later... (enough brown-nosing? :p)
All in all, a very bumpy ride with TNT, but it looks like the excellent customer service department have got me there in the end.
Hope everyone else has the same success that I've had...

Finally got mine. Very pleased with it. No splotches on my screen , but it does do the signal drop but it only drops to 2 bars which im not fussed about because it stays on 3g even at 2 bars on t-mobile

Def think it was worth the wait :D

Glad people are finally getting their phones

Can't believe I may still have a week to wait :(
