Take it with a grain of salt, but I've heard there won't be 14 mini.
Feel free to correct me.

I can tell you how to spend your money, you just need to sign over the legal right for me to make your financial decisions for you. Then you will not have to worry at all about what to spend your money on because I will make all those decisions.

:D

I purchased a 13 Mini on launch day. It is the best iPhone I have ever owned. I never owned a 12 Mini, but from what I understand, they improved the worst issues with the 12 Mini. And I will say that my battery life is very good, considering the size of the phone.

However, everybody is different. What may be a near-perfect device for me may not be such for you. I can't tell you whether you should buy a 13 Mini or not, you have to decide that. All I can say is that I am very satisfied with the 13 Mini for my needs.

Get a 13 Mini. I have a 12 Mini and it’s the best iPhone I have ever owned. You definitely won’t be disappointed unless a large screen is non-negotiable for you. I consume a lot of media on my phone and it is basically my main computer so I watch a lot of video content, browse the internet, listen to music and podcasts along with tonnes of other stuff on my phone. The Mini is perfectly suitable as my main machine. The only issue is battery life however I have resolved that with the MagSafe battery charger which has essentially doubled the battery life.

If the 13 Mini is what you want, go and get it! :)

Don't get the 13 mini unless you use it for only small purposes because it has 4GB ram and it is very slow for high usage purposes!

Yes, you definitely should. :)

I have the 12 mini and will be upgrading to the 13 mini before it is phased out. It is likely that Apple will continue to sell the 13 mini for some time after the iPhone 14 launches, similar to how they still sell the 12 mini now. But of course no one knows for how long, and color/RAM choice may become limited. It’s also possible that Apple is just moving the mini form factor to a longer update cycle, similar to the iPad mini, so that there will be a new iPhone mini in 3-5 years. However that could turn out to be just wishful thinking.

In any case, if you regret switching to the Pro Max and prefer the mini size, and you can afford to make the switch back, then it doesn’t make much sense to stay with the Pro Max. Cut your losses.

Spend money! Just kidding but so far I am very much enjoying my new 13 mini (copped the green shade). Battery life is subpar but that’s to be expected in such a small but feature-packed phone, I guess. Other than that (which I kind of don’t hate that much because it discourages overuse) it’s kind of perfect and something I can actually see myself holding onto for 5+ years.

13 Mini is Apple’s best current phone. I don’t think you’ll miss having the larger size.

Edit: Maybe buy it and decide? I’d be curious to hear your thoughts.

I have a xs max. A phone this big can be somewhat unwieldy sometimes but i enjoy having this phone a lot. However, ever since my wife has the 13 mini I’m unable to find reasons to justify a larger screen for my use. And using the 13 mini I enjoy the one handed experience. Depending on what the iPhone 14 will be, my next phone will be either a 14 6.1 inch or the 13 mini.

The mini is a perfect phone for being just that a phone... Easy to carry, great to use with one hand. The only thing that kind of sucks at is Media consumption.

I think it’s great for that. I use my Mini for media consumption and think it’s perfect. I have never had a larger phone than an iPhone 6S/8 though so that may be why I am satisfied with the screen size.

Not sure what's great about it...sure it's fine for a quick view of a YouTube video on the fly, but when I'm home in bed watching Netflix I just need a bigger screen. Doesn't help that the screen is only 1080p and isn't as bright as the bigger screen phones. Also the phone speakers are weak.... Like I said it sucks for video consumption at least for me

I disagree. The size is perfect for me and I use the thing for YouTube, Netflix and Disney+. The screen is a Retina display so you won’t be able to detect a higher resolution regardless due to the PPI. The OLED quality is amazing and on a par with the larger phones too. I have always loved the speakers on this thing. Crisp quality surround sound, I guess it could be louder though if that’s what you mean.

Sounds like you need a bigger phone!

I'm not trying to change your mind, you love what you have. I'm a rare individual who needs two phones. I'm lucky enough to have both IOS and Android phones. I use Samsung galaxies as my big phones and once you use such an amazing screen for video consumption everything else pals in comparison.

Fair enough. I am happy with the Mini and have been since I got it, it’s the best phone I have ever owned. I am aware there are better phones out there for media consumption but I don’t require the absolute cutting edge. The Mini is an excellent all-rounder. Perfect for carrying around with you when at work and out and about and adequate for browsing, video consumption and music playback, etc… when at home.

Rather than a huge phone for media consumption in bed, isn't it easier to have a Mini Phone for portability and a cheap iPad for media in bed? Even the smallest iPad is bigger than the Max iPhone and even an iPad with a great screen is also cheaper than an iPhone. iPhone Mini + iPad seems like the winning combo for those that want both.

That’s what I do. I have an adjustable arm for my iPad Mini 5 so I can watch hands free and fall asleep during a show.
