Upgraded from the original X to a 13 today. I will be swapping it for a mini, just too big for me. I like smaller "phones".
I still remember my X my fav phone if I had switched from iPhone X to a 13 mini it would’ve been a smooth transition I think you’ll enjoy the mini a lot coming from iPhone X.

Order my iPhone 13 mini red, going to try to make the switch to see if I like it. Wish me luck!
Hope you love it—I’m sure the color will be gorgeous!

Also for what it may be worth I am noticing better battery life on my mini with the first 15.5 beta than with 15.4(.1). Not that you will want to run a beta on your new toy but I can’t ever resist. Also your mileage may vary, of course.

The iPhone 13 mini is what I'm eyeing for when the next price drop comes.
If Apple were to keep the Xs/11 Pro size, that would be ideal, but Apple decided to go big. I used to be on the side of go big or go home. But my experience with the S21 changed my perspective, and I really am starting to appreciate phones that are more pocket friendly and easily gripped.

With pretty much all Androids are going big (the Galaxy S21 and S22 are practically the only recent "small" Android phone), the iphone 13 mini is getting my attention.

Picked up the mini today, and unfortunately the mini got that bloody super visible gap. Will be returning it this Wednesday.

I wouldn't even bother. I've gone through 3 13 Pro's and all of them had gaps. I believe it to be more of a design flaw rather than a defect.

I know there's meant to be some sort of 'tolerance' there, but my 13PM has no visible gap like that. I will just return the mini for now and maybe get another one later when I cbb doing the lottery again. :x

did you like how content looks on the Mini's screen?
To be honest the mini felt amazing in hand but I felt viewing material was too compact for my liking...

Content is definitely more compact but I knew that would be the case before I bought it.

For me it’s something that is easily acceptable given how easy it is to one hand this device whilst having say, a coffee.

If the 13 Mini had Touch ID I would have already bought it. (But I would be keeping it unused until my SE1 is no longer usable. I love my SE1.) But because it doesn’t have Touch ID, I’m wavering between the 13 Mini and SE(whatever latest year) as my next phone.
So I hope that answers your question, OP.

I bit the bullet and ordered one and I have to agree. I hate it in a way because it feels almost too small and too light and I’m wondering if my brain has just been reprogrammed by these heavy, large devices. I can’t escape the feeling like it’s a plastic toy. I don’t know if I can fully commit to a phone this small. Sigh

Give it a week or two.You need to retrain yourself and will probably find out you don't need a luggage phone.

The 13 mini, with 15.4.1, is a great combination. Battery life is acceptable. But long term, I doubt the mini can sustain its respectable battery life. No one knows how iOS 16 would affect the series 13 iPhones.

If I want to watch videos or movies, or have zoom meetings, I use an iPad or Mac. I use a phone as a phone and don't try to make it a one size fits all device, which I don't believe Apple intended for the customer at large. Too many people have embraced the iPhone as the one size fit and that is why they have trained themselves to spend $1500 on a luggage size phone, even though many have an iPad and Mac etc.
