It's really a perfect phone. And I came from a 5.5" iPhone.I recently down sized from a 7 plus to an SE. It was a good move and made sense for my usage profile. The SE is refreshing to use for core phone activities - phone, messages, music, snap shots.
If you are the type that chases specs Iphones are not the path. Android and Samsung play that game well.If it had top specs (great camera, display, and fastest processor) it would be a no-brainer. There's no reason why it can't have any of those IMO.

A friend of mine just upgraded from his 5c to an SE and is very happy with it, not at all liking the trend to big phones at all.

He he I am really happy with my 7 plus but you know different strokes...this friend always asks me how I can manage with such a big phone that bulges out of my pocket (no jokes please). 😀Yes, I'm getting tired of these behemoth phones as well. I say to them, why not just buy a damn tablet.

The iPhone SE is for budget consumers, reflected in its price.
I'd wait 8 weeks or so for the new devices.

I get some comments when people see my phone, they are almost disgusted with my tiny phone 😛
Lol. Which phone are you using now? SE?
Yea SE, I had a 7+ before.
Er, no. The 7 is stupidly expensive still and actually offers very little over the SE other than the bigger screen. There's no great performance difference. Both have the same RAM. The A9 has fewer pixels to push and is still a very strong chip (also the backbone of the new iPad so will be supported for many years). The SE itself will carry on until next March at least before any replacement is in sight, whereas the 7 will be reduced to last years model in a matter of weeks, the big difference being that the SE is stupidly cheap now but they're still pricing the 7 like a brand new flagship. It's less of a lame duck than the SE.
I'm supposed to say you're entitled to your opinion I guess, but really.. you "couldn't use" a physical home button as found on every other iPhone aside from the 7 (not to mention every single iPad)?Good device if you're on a budget, I say. Personally I couldn't use a 4" screen, the old style home button or inferior camera of the SE. I did have both at one stage.

I think the SE (especially now with the bigger storage options) is the best value for money product Apple have offered in a long time, and I'd recommend people jump on it while it lasts.
Battery life, one handed use, headphone jack - all big plus points for the humble SE.
Same here. SEs are a size that's easy to work with. I waited with a 4S for years because Apple released the 6 and 6+ and I just didn't want a phone that large, and there were enough people saying the same as I was thinking for there to be a gap in the market Apple had to eventually fill. When the SE first came out I jumped at the 64GB model, and I'm still extremely happy with it.I use the SE because of its size. Im athletic and run up stairs, jump over fences and barriers etc The SE is the only phone that can sit in my front jeans pocket and allow me to do these things. The 4 series was even better. To me its a phone not a stare at all day long cause my eye sight is so bad give me a bigger screen baby sitting device that doesn't allow me to run.

And I feel I need to point out that I bought it sim-free from Apple and paid £430 up front for it. It wasn't about the money, I just wanted the device that worked for me.

You "couldn't use" a camera that was class leading on the 6S just two years ago?
Seems to me you mostly just don't like the size, and maybe the fact that you perceive it as "budget" - each to their own.
