Nice stuff everyone! Keep posting. It gets me inspired.

BTW, are you all using stylus pens or just using your fingers?

My big fat finger gets in the way when I want to be precise. Argh...or do you guys just get used to it (or maybe you all have surgically reduce finger tips?

I really like this one

Here's my latest! It's CQB from Halo. I've got the figure on my desk and love this variant most!

This also done using ArtStudio for iPad.

Stylus

Hi,

Can I quickly ask what people are using to draw/paint these awesome pix?

I bought a cheap stylus today but it is rubbish, the tip is like a rubber so it just judders over the screen if you try to swipe.

Been looking at a Pogo Sketch, but would like to see what is working for others.

Cheers. :)

I use a Pogo Sketch, and from my research here before purchasing it, it seems that a great many folks use and like the Pogo Sketch as well.

I actually use just my fingers.

I've considered picking up a Pogo, but I'm actually feeling really comfortable with just using my fingers to paint/draw and having the ability to pinch or select my tools and just right back into drawing.

I like the pogo sketch stylus but it is starting to wear out already. The foam tip just keeps on getting flatter with every use.

Here's my latest one, a portrait of my cat Smokie. This was done on an iPad using the ArtStudio App.

I really had a hard time trying to figure out how to paint the fur, but am more than happy with the results.

Surprisingly, the ear was probably the one of the most difficult part since it is so plain looking at first site.

I really am proud of this painting and think it's true to life!

It's sad, this thread isn't getting the response it used to since they moved it to the app section... :(

Anyways, I put together a screen showing how Smokie was done.

Wow and that was done with fingers??

Tried the pogo sketch and found that the foam tip wore down and scratched my screen protector. I feel as though I have to really push to get it to be recognized by the iPad. Not sure I like that.

Not a great drawing but I guess that's because I'm not a super great artist.

I'd love if people would post there layers for their drawings. It'd be a really helpful learning tool for me!! Thanks

My latest painting. This one is of my son, I love this one!

Took about a week and done in ArtStudio.

I have no artistic skills whatsoever. I wish I could draw a pear half as good as yours. Good job!

Thank you :)

I got frustrated at having no artistic talent so I decided to make myself learn to draw and even though I can only do simple stuff, and its still not good, its progressing which is encouraging :)

I honestly think most people can draw, its just that in school (U.S. anyway) there are virtually no art classes. I work with a lot of Europeans and every one of them can draw awesomely so I'm thinking its not something you're born with, but just like everything else it can be learned from practice.

Anyway I'm trying to do an apple now but its not coming out so hot haha.
