Woo hoo

Allegedly I receive my iPad today :) Cannot wait...

Anyhow I've been using Brushes for a year but own a few other apps for the iPod touch including the aforementioned Layers, Sketchbook and Art Studio. All are OK but don't hit me where Brushes has. I've already pre-booked all of the art apps I can find to sync and play with from minute one though, I'm only in the iPad for the doodle tools :)

One it surprises me no-ones mentioned because it's as pleasant to work with on an iTouch as any is Inspire which is well worth a look and I was sad to not see an iPad version.

Anyhow a couple of my iTouch pics below. You can catch more stuff on my blog and a page a day facebook comic I'm doing exclusively in Brushes here.

(The strange route of the Wombat's flightpath. Ironically a page I did for the comic which ended up getting cut. Hey ho, still a nice pic).

Awesome stuff!

Having a mobile art studio was one of my primary reasons for buying an iPad. I even sketched out my next Marvel cover concept on it (which was subsequently approved and I'm finishing on my MBP right now.) Making quick color studies on the go has never really been possible before without hauling around a watercolor set.

Cheers!
Awesome and I'm *speechless*

What's funny is we were all told the iPad was only capable of consuming media, and yet here we all are :) iPad, gadget of the year already :D

That's what's keeping me from going out right now and buying one outright. I keep daydreaming of the day when a version of the iPad will be powerful enough to run a mobile version of iMovie. This sketchbook program seems like a nice start though. Nice pics guys! :D

I think the iPad has the potential to be a powerful creation tool with the right apps. Apps are what will make this thing...

My first drawing on sketchbook pro.
Used fingers.
It's space.

Still learning all the brushes.

this is my first drawing using Adobe Ideas. (color was added in photoshop)

I really had fun doing this. Will for sure be buying Sketchbook Pro!
In Sketchbook does it smooth your lines like Ideas does?
Thanks.

How juvenile my drawings look compared to the work you guys and gals are doing, great!

Wow..... I am truly amazed by the work here.

I have to ask..... some of these are just incredible....... are you guys drawing these freehand, or are you uploading a photo and then drawing/painting over it?

I need to buy a stylus and pick up this app.....

Some of mine were freehand. Two of them were sketched with pen, scanned, and then completed with the iPad. Tracing my own drawing isn't cheating.

Didnt have much time still in the same drawing, i only have 5 minutes a day.
Last one is a wallpaper in case someone wants a wallpaper made in a ipad.

I cant wait to set my Dad loose on sketchbook pro. He's really good at drawing and cartoon style, looking forward to seeing what he can do :)

Stylus doesn't help a huge deal, compared to say a cintiq or wacom tablet & pen.

I do mine by zooming in a lot, and then zooming out to see the overall look, then zooming back in (200-400%) to do the fine line or any detail.

Just got the pogo stylus and I think it's MUCH easier to draw with it rather than my finger. Just did this earlier today when I saw my dog curled up on the couch.
