I am loving seeing all our men here so fashion conscious. Some really great band choices out there. I really want my hubby to get a watch too and help him accessorize with bands but he always carries his phone with him and just says he doesn't think he needs one. Hey at least I can say he didn't mind buying me one. He does seem to be paying more attention to posts guys are making on why they like their watches though so have hope to some day share a heart beat with him!

I change my band daily. Leather for court, and the sports based on the shirt I am wearing.

Picked up my girlfriend a 38mm sport watch for her birthday. While waiting one of the employees spotted my watch band. Before I knew it half the store employees surrounded my wrist...

You've all got nice watches, but I'm more of a regular non-smart watch
type of guy. After all , isn't a watch primarily used for telling the time?

I am a watch guy too, however since late April i have yet to take any of these out of the box, all but 2 are automatic, and i don't use watch winders. My Apple watch has many options now that i've been using that extensively. The SS was the right choice.

<EDIT> It just occurred to me that some of the watches i have above are pretty old, The Pepsi Red/Blue Seiko far right i purchased in 1994. The Arbutus in 1999, , The Breitling Navitimer in 2007, The Panerai Marina in 2008, The Invicta Grand Diver in 2009, Tissot in 2010 and Black Dial Seiko in 2012. I wonder if i will still have the Apple Watch and store it with my Watches i have kept over the years in say 2 years minimum. I've sold a large number of high end watches but kept these as they are my treasured watches that hold great memories for me. I hope the Apple Watch brings about such feelings/emotions in a few years. I love my Apple Watch! :)

I'm sure employees don't know about 3rd party adapters and the Apple Watch's ability to take other bands so that doesn't surprise me. It's not what Apple sells so I don't really find it surprising to hear. If I wasn't hanging out on here I doubt I would know about it. As more people see the Watch out and about and see what people are able to do with it and accessorize it with, I'm sure more people will be intrigued.

Nice birthday present!

In general for most people with watches I suspect the answer is, It is. From what I can see here on the forum and from my own personal use of my AW, I don't think it is any more. Telling time is such a small percentage of what we are doing with it.

It's kind of like it does all these things on your wrist and oh, btw it tells time too. For someone who hasn't cared to wear a watch to tell the time for decades now, that aspect of it is really pretty insignificant to me. But all the same, I enjoy deciding which face I want to see that time displayed on and I do find myself more aware of the time than before. I had some warming up to do wearing a watch again and some adjusting to a non-circular face, but I find it to be a rather attractive piece now and love customizing one watch with so many band choices.

Well, you have quite a nice collection there. I guess it's a subjective thing though, because some people just want a watch to tell the time, like myself, and some want their watches to fly as well.

I guess this is subjective opinion. Refer to my post above for my expansion on that.

Well, I'm happy for you that you like your watch to me more than just a time teller, but, for me at least, all a watch has to do for me is tell the time, plus a watch the only tells the time can be bought for much cheaper. I personally, if I were Apple, could not charge people the price of a pretty good car.....for a watch. It just wouldn't see well with me. Plus I doubt the Apple Watch Edition cost upwards of $17K+ to make.

To me a watch is more than just a watch. Being a man i know one thing that I heard a long time ago from a top mens fashion designer. He said when a woman looks at a fashionable man shes looking at his watch, his belt and shoes. Of course that is the bare minimum, the opposite hand to the watch should have a bracelet of some sort. If a man is walking around with bare wrists he's either a manual laborer or doesn't care about fashion much. (Not my personal opinion and nothing wrong with that at all)

When women look at other women they are looking at their Handbags, the shoes and Belts.

That is all subjective though. Personally i like a heavy watch on my wrist and a bracelet on the other wrist to counterbalance. And either a Tiffany atlas ring on my right hand, or a titanium Tiffany ring on my left wedding finger (not married but it cuts down on people chatting me up). Belt must be smart and not garish, and nice clean shoes/sneakers.

Oh back on topic. The apple edition watch even though solid gold costs about 3K MAX to produce, gold factored in. I believe its 60grams of gold, but apple have created their own gold alloy so it's not 'traditional' gold as we know per se.

You're in the wrong thread, dude. This is for happily showing your Apple Watch, not moaning.

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the actual definition of moan.

Just for your convenience I'll detail it below.

Moan
Complain or grumble, typically about something trivial.

Source: Google

As you can obviously see I have not been moaning. Your post is nothing more than an attempt to get rid of me of which won't be happening quite as easily as you may like. So, good day sir! ;)

I have the same band coming my way from Amazon for my SG Sport.
I hope I get a black one....people have been complaining about getting copper colored bands when they ordered black...
What seller was yours? Mine was Biao Ge.

My SS with brown leather loop. I lovvvve this band agree with people when they say it felt a bit plasticky at first, but it definitely softens up over time. Great quality in my opinion, worth the $$. Now if only I could find a brown modern buckle in 42 mm :)
