Picked up one of the vintage leather straps from "Bullstrap"
I'm really liking it and a nice change from the collection of sport bands I only had before now.

To me I couldn't be happier with it.
I mean I'm no leather expert but yea it seems perfect.
I'll report back in time over the next few weeks after usage etc.

I put a Defender on mine when I first got it, too. SS Black Series 2. I did have a SS Series 1 and after about 6 months the SS was micro scratched to hell and I put a chip in the upper right corner of the glass. Ultimately had it replaced because of a black spot about the size of the crown appearing on the screen directly to the left of the crown button.
I have AppleCare but I put it on for a few weeks to see how I reacted to having a watch on that has such an exposed face. Kind of like training wheels to see if I actually bumped a lot of surfaces or not. I've taken the Defender off and have had the new watch for about 2 months now and don't notice any damage or scratching.

How did ss series 1 have micro scratch? It's suppose to have better scratch resistance? Or is it only series 2 with better quality?

I believe they were referring to the stainless steel body, not the screen. Stainless steel gets scratched, that's just the way it goes.

The stainless steel got covered in swirls probably from cleaning and just everyday use.
I looked at my boss's series 1 a couple of days ago. It was bought at initial launch. It is almost dull and not shiny after getting even more of these scratches. This is one reason I bought the black stainless this year.
I have a 20 year old Citizen watch that still shines like day one.
So far like I said, I see NO scrAtches on my black SS series 2. I assume it is harder to see them on the black....

Correct. I wrote that the SS got micro scratches. Not the sapphire which I did manage to put one 2mm scratch/gouge in.

Looks absolutely great. Love the more rugged look a strap like this and the Nomad gives an otherwise very clean and simple watch

Swapped my Silver/Volt Nike band for a new Platinum/White which I much prefer. Unfortunately not a Nike watch, "just" a S0 Sport (two years since I bought it on Sunday), but I still enjoy using it each day.

Nice🙂 All the fancy bands and special edition watches are great, but theres just something special about the gold/midnight blue combo. This never gets old for me

My wife and I got the new tri-colored striped bands two weeks ago. The blue/orange for me and the pollen (blue/yellow/green) for her. I normally stick to black/gray but I like the look of these so much I'm thinking about getting the gray/red/yellow one for myself as well.
