Is the battery bad on OS8?
Installed it last night, used the watch for about 6, 7 hours. Honestly I think it's about the same as OS7. Doesn't seem the new OS took a hit on the battery thankfully.

Going back to before OS8, I really do notice heavier battery drain on this 4 with more complex watch faces. So I do tend to go very minimalistic, simple most of the time.

I've had OS8 since Monday evening and cant say i've noticed any difference to be honest. I tend to have it on charge overnight so 100% when i put it on about 7am each morning and its still around 40-50% when i go to bed about 11pm. Only time i've seen it really take a hit outside of using it for tracking a long walk with GPS etc was when i had complications like weather where it wanted your location all the time. I've now avoid complications like that or for the weather app i set it so it never uses my current location and i set my home town as the main location for it and change it if i go anywhere else for a period of time so its not using GPS to get my location to then show the relevant weather.

Pink Chalk is very close to Pink Sand, just less color and more brightness. See attached, all the sport bands are pink sand.

Starlight is very close to Stone, just less color and more brightness. 😉
Just to clarify: you're saying that in your photo of four watch bands, the three sport bands are pink sand and the solo loop is the new chalk pink? They all look like the same color. I'm trying to figure out if the chalk pink is more chalk white with a hint of pink?
Thanks!

I didn't notice this until now. On WatchOS 8, second hand dial stays on the always on standby display while the hand disappears on the chronograph pro face. On WatchOS 7, the entire second hand dial would disappear, leaving only two sub-dials instead of three.

Or it's just a fun bug.

So much better! I hated the fact that it would disappear completely, looked empty while on AOD. Nice observation!

In the photo with four watch bands, the three sport bands are all pink sand, yes. To a healthy person, yes, in a sense they are all the same color, a kind of very faint blush pink.

To my eyes, and using Apple’s sense of color wherein pink sand 1 and pink sand 2 and pink chalk are different colors, they’re not the same color. There’s even a discrepancy between the two pink sand 1s that I’ve been trying to parse for awhile.

Either factory variance or my long held suspicion that the gold pin bands were slightly unique (or both).

Pink Chalk is very white compared to any Pink Sand, see here next to the white ceramic case, I think it shows just how pink it is:

Amazing! 🤩 This is my favorite shade of yellow, my favorite color. As soon as I saw it I said bye bye to my money
The future potential for braided solo loops is dizzying…the first white/beige, a true blue hue in the English Lav style, good green lol, electric blue. Dark Cherry has me willing to be patient on saturated purple and brown. Something tells me Apple isn’t done with the plum-dark cherry family…we will probably see another muted raisin/grape look in the near future.
