Lucky me ! They Started selling the Stainless 4g versions in the Netherlands,I would love to have the Gold But here in the Nethelands the SS and Ti verslons are not sold
Just received the chalk ll, on my series 4 sg aluminium
I have the braided pride band, got it when it launched and wore it all summer long. It did not pick up any swear odors at all, but it did get a little dirty in a way that’s noticeable on the white, light pink, and yellow strands. It can be washed, which will clean out the sweat, but didn’t do anything for the dirty strands on mine.I am really loving the rainbow braided band! I was thinking of getting one for my upcoming SS Silver 45mm (which won’t arrive for another month!—but I will wait), but I was worried about how the colors and material will show dirt/sweat. Same with the lavender color, which I think is lovely. Also…will the braided material acquire an odor from wearing during workouts?
Despite my glowing commentary on the SBTi, I’ve had these two small ‘nicks’ right at the edge, where the Ti meets the crystal, since unboxing. I can just barely feel it if I run my fingernail along looking for it. Is this something Apple would fix/replace? It’s super trivial but I feel it’s a shame to have such a resilient finish and it’s nicked due to a qc issue. Anybody with similar experience have a suggestion?

Oh wow, sorry to hear. Same here, it only bothers me because I know about it. I rarely ever see it unless I’m looking for it. That said I just initiated a replacement lol 😂. Annoying that I’ll be without a watch for a few weeks. But if I change my mind and snag another one in store they said I can just cancel the replacement and make it a regular return.I have these same marks on my S6 SBTi that have been there since I unboxed it (mine are on the lower bottom left of the case). It doesn't really bother me, unless I stare at it -- which I try not to. I do have AC+ so worse comes to worse, I can get an express replacement -- it was the last Ti the Apple Store I purchased it from had in stock over the summer. Otherwise, I would have went back to exchange it.
That's a great looking combo!![]()
Starlight with charcoal braided loop.
Here are a few pics of mine in natural indoor light. I put my space gray S2/black band next to it for comparison. There is a hint of blue in the band, but I'd say it looks more like dark gray. The case is like 99% black and 1% blue. It's finally sunny here, and I still had to look really closely to even see the bluish tint in the direct sunlight. The case does not look anything like the images on Apple's site in my opinion. I love that it looks black.Could you please share more pics of your midnight s7/midnight band?
Thanks.
I stopped by the Apple store near my work and they were sold out of the black in the size I need. I might have to go the eBay route.Yeah I got it just days ago from eBay, half price and unopened box. Apple doesn't sell it anymore, however they've stopped selling product red solo loop as well but I was able to buy it directly in the Apple Store two weeks ago. Perhaps they have black in stock as well, have a look if you are close to one.
Thanks for the feedback! I thought the light colors might be more affected. Good to hear that the material is in some way resistant to odor. I mean, I can see that I would probably just rinse it under running hot water weekly or something, and let it dry overnight. The grime/staining would bother me. I may have to go with the dark cherry or another darker color. Do the leather link bands stay on well during exercise, do you know? I’ve only ever worn the metal link band, elastomer-, and a leather buckle band. Oh, and the Milanese weave, which is not good for exercise, as it loosens with movement.I have the braided pride band, got it when it launched and wore it all summer long. I haven't exercised in any of the leather bands and I don't think I'd want to as they're a lot harder to clean. I usually use the nylon sport loop or the braided solo for exercising, and I rinse them under the sink after my sweatiest workouts (I don't bother if I just got warm but not super sweaty). I also wash them with soap periodically just to make sure they don't get too gross. None of the nylon sport loops have shown a spec of dirt on them. I expected they'd get pulls in the fabric but that hasn't happened either. The pride solo was my first braided solo, but I have the black cherry now and it's holding up really well - if it's gotten dirty I don't think I'd know as it's so dark, but it looks great either way! Thanks for the feedback! That graphite is gorgeous! Looks good with the band, as well. 😀Graphite series 7 with chalk leather link
Someone got a SSG series 6 or 7 with the golden brown leather link ?
I already have the chalk white, and ordered the midnight with the SSG Watch, but very curious if the golden brown is a good match and classy looking too with gold.
Also got Some of the original Apple nylon woven bands, but for the nylon loops I mostly got them from aliexp.
With the gold watch, I am looking into more leather bands and maybe a couple sport bands. I never liked how stiff they were when I bought my 0 gen sport, but my Wife has a series 5 with some bands, they feel a lot better now.
