Did apple change the starlight solo loop name to white? Doesn’t say it’s a new band. 🤔

I think it just got promoted from only showing up on the product page because there’s much more room on the store page now. It could also be a second gen white solo loop. Remember they didn’t put the New tag on the fall 2021 red braided solo loop.

Could be onto something here, cheers mate.

Looks like this might be a re-issue of white. The color had previously been offered in the S6 era. This band is labeled as 41/45mm on Apple’s site which makes me think it is a new run. If they were selling off old S6 stock, it would be labeled 40/44mm.

It‘s getting harder to satisfy the collectors because they’re starting to feel they‘ve seen it all before (colour-wise). For new buyers, this is not a problem. For those starting to collect, it‘s nice that they don‘t have to hunt for the similar older bands.

My personal collection hovers around 100 bands for some time now. If I like a similar new band better than the old one, I just sell the older one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Depends on how much time/effort/money was spent on the old one ^^
There are a few that I definitely prefer over the new ones, however similar they might be.

I’m an AW newby but I was pining for a purple band since I began considering the purchase. So I bought a starlight watch with a starlight sport band at Costco for $349 several weeks ago and decided, to my surprise, that I really like the sport band. I was waiting for the new colors to come out to see if there was a new improved purple. I was really surprised that the old colors were removed from the Apple Store when the new colors were added. Not only is there no new purple but the price of the basic sport band has gone up $20. Amazon saved the day. They have the English lavender in stock at the old price of $49. Ordered it yesterday and received it today.

EDIT: I had inadvertently followed a link on Reddit to the Australian Apple store thus my confusion about the prices.
