45mm S7 Nike with Ocean band.
View attachment 2078694
This looks really great! I also tried this today on my S8 SS Graphite and really like it. I’m starting to consider returning my Ultra, girlfriend hates it and I think ocean band on the S8 can give me part of what I was after for a rugged but premium swimming / excercise band

Love the ultra personally too but in two minds as to whether I’ll wear it enough

New toy!! In love with the stainless. Goodbye aluminum!

It really does work well on the 45mm, it’s thicker and more substantial than the original sport bands. I do plan on getting an Ultra later in the year though!

More pictures!
I shall take some more in the morning when it’s daylight and better lighting.

Approaching 24 hours with Ultra, I haven’t been this thoroughly impressed since my steel 0G back in Spring 2015!

To celebrate, here’s the new rugged titanium body with my band collection spanning 7+ years and sizes 42, 44 and 45mm..

1. The classic black Sport Band that came with my first Watch. To this day, I am always between sizes on the hole punches. Otherwise, simple and secure for some cardio and water.

2. Black Leather Loop is my daily grind for working at the office. Comfortably adjustable and dresses up the body nicely.

3. Storm Gray Sport Loop has held up with all my hiking, biking, swimming, walking, and running workouts 💪🏻

With that said, the color has faded pretty good over time and the velcro has split the threading around where I usually stick it. No issues at all, but it admirably reflects how much of a ride its been through.

4. Anchor Gray Sport Loop has a gray dual tone that pairs well with the brushed titanium body. This one provides the most comfortable, snug fit for biometrics and sleep tracking.

5. Midnight Ocean Band stood out from the Alpine and Trail Loops because of the classic buckle look in a sport context. Really looking forward to taking this out in the water with the new Depth app!

6. Stainless Steel Link Bracelet really puts Ultra in another league. This looks space age and dresses incredibly well for special occasions. The contrast in the way light reflects off the brushed titanium and steel links is definitely something to be seen in person. This one is a stunner, wow.

7. Space Black Link Bracelet is the best all-around in that it gives the Watch a premium look and feel, in addition to a sharp black contrast that reminds me of my 0G watch. The DLC coating has held up well wearing this while going out and looking sharp.

8. Charcoal Braided Loop is by far the most enjoyable to wear. Even with the heft of the Ultra, I easily forget that I have a wearable device on. It’s easy to clean and the color has not faded even with near daily wear. I got one size down, and this has nevertheless stretched out over time.

9. Bonus: As a hardcore black and space gray fan (see above), the Pride Braided Loop looks better than I imagined on the new Ultra. I wear this in tribute to my LGBT best friend in high school who tragically took his own life. This is my favorite special edition band that has been released thus far, and am more than happy to show my support.

I hope you found this useful if you are considering upgrading and have some bands that you‘d like to carry over.

Thanks for your ⌚️

Wishing I had 20:20 vision to decide which of these Watch faces look best with the ink leather loop for evening wear! Thoughts?

I also have the Space Black Link Bracelet and the Silver Link. I think the silver looks amazing on the Ultra but can't get used to the black for some reason? I have a leather Nomad black and think that looks better. Don't know why?

Ultra with Ink Leather Link.

I quite like this colour combination, what do others think?

Also I have a 178mm wrist. I’d like some honest feedback if the watch looks too big on my wrist or whether it looks fine?

I ordered with an Alpine Green Loop but don’t think the Alpine strap looks great on me due to the lugs.
I think it looks great. My favorite band so far on the Ultra is the Alpine Orange.

A new thread is a better idea than slogging through a 900 page thread….. *signs *

Where are people getting these cool bands from? I can't find them on Apple.

There have been over 600 bands released by Apple over the years and they switch out seasonally with new colors and designs. The only bands you’ll see from Apple now are the latest seasonal bands that just dropped with the S8/Ultra.

One app a lot of folks bere use is Bandbreite, which has a database of every official band made available and the ability to build a collection/wishlist.

Yeah that reminds me when I had the SB link bracelet ready for pickup at the Local Apple Store. The folks there tried advising me about whether I’d like the strong contrast in metals.

but that goes back to the original series, when I chose the stainless steel model with black sport band over getting an aluminum sport with an additional band.

Black goes with most anything, so I wore that one exclusively for a year or so. TBF I may have just gotten used to that look.

how’s the leather holding up with Nomad brand? They have some pretty nice looking ones. I am partial though for a good patina that sets in.

I Love the Nomad watch bands. Don't like their iPhone cases with the plastic on the sides. I can see the Nomad Leather Watch bands lasting forever. I can recommend them.
