Why you say that 41 mm is better for mechanical watch lover?
Most mechanical watch lovers these days wear watches in the 36-42mm range, and the smaller (38-41mm) AW wears closer to those sizes. Here’s an old pic I posted here when I bought a first-gen 38mm AW years ago. It wore about the same as my Submariner, and my current 41mm AW8 wears slightly larger than that, but it’s still more refined than the 44mm and Ultra models, which, due to the large screens, read more like wrist computers, even from a distance (unless maybe you have an 9” wrist or something).

We have similar taste about Rolex and AW band ☺️ thank you for your reply: I always picked up the larger AW and never thought about that, that’s why I asked.

Started off today with the Rolex while out running errands, now wearing the Ultra as the day has progressed (and watching my wife study for med school). It’s funny, even as much of horology nut as I am, I keep finding myself usually wearing the Apple Watch over everything else I own.

The ease of use and battery life, plus the ability to track my habits and health is just indescribable. Happy Juneteenth everyone.

Weirdly think my Ultra wears very similar to my BB58.

The lack of lugs might make the difference. If you put on the Alpine loop with metal lugs it might even it out a bit
I have all 3 bands but mostly wear the Ocean band, I 100% agree it's the lack of lugs on the Ocean band that helps.

I mean SSS and Silver Link isn’t a terrible match! 😊View attachment 2221461
LOL, you are a bad/good influence... I just made an offer on a New silver version, on ebay and it was accepted. So I will have both the SB and silver versions.

I did see where someone on Reddit had polished the band to match the SSS watch, with a Cape Cod polishing cloth. I may try that. Here is their picture of the polish job they did.

Before on the left, and after on the right.
