Online the current one does not look as vibrant. Yours looks good. I wonder if it changed. Might order one and see. 👍
Two days ago I purchased the Bright Orange sports band from tha Apple site. I am a bit disappointed now I have it in person. I would not call it "bright". I really wanted a blue band like Capri or Surf but none are being offered. Shame that customers cannot order bands from previous years.

After much internal debate, I picked up an Apple SB Steel Link band.

This is the point I was making. 😆
Yeah, I know. 🍻 I was just making the point that it takes up much more space visually, so it looks considerably larger than a Submariner, regardless of its actual size. It looks gigantic. Even the regular 44mm model looks large on most men, especially now that mechanical watch sizing trends have returned back to classic sizes.

And how do you like it?
I am surprised that the Steel Link band is so comfortable. I thought it would feel heavier, and I read that one person thought the edges were too sharp. I am not feeling and discomfort after 4 hours.

Of course the links are easy to adjust and the band looks great. I have the S8 SBSS watch and they look great together. So far, I am really enjoying the band.

I am glad that I didn't purchase from Apple though. At $449, I wouldn't have gotten it, but I got the Black and Silver versions (both new) for less than that. I get the Silver one on Tuesday.

SBSS living on as a solely Hermes option is wild, because the link bracelet is SBSS and was originally marketed as just the "Apple Watch" band. No special branding.

Sad we never got a graphite link bracelet release. Expecting people to wear SBSS links on their GrSS watches feels so non-apple.

Fits perfectly on Hermes though. Dream watch right there.

I agree with everything here and if they ever re-design the regular Series Watches to have flat screens I can definitely see a SB Hermès in my future. Anyhow I think the SB link looks great on the GrSS as well. Heck, it even looks great on the SSS and on the Ultra.

I have the Link bracelet as well, but haven't used it yet... The colour just seems too much off to me?

How much is too much? It is a little off, but certainly not enough to bother me.

If it does bother you, there is a relatively cheap clone in the Ultra colour that I‘ve read good things about:

https://www.lululook.com/collections/apple-watch-bands/products/apple-watch-ultra-titanium-link-band

the brushed finish blends with the titanium of the Ultra IMO.

Yeah, it helps that the Link Bracelet is not too shiny.
