What's an ice watch?

They're quite popular among teens as they have lots of colour options, a comfortable rubber band and cost £~75 which is cheap enough to afford but substantial enough to feel like a quality product.

Had to edit my earlier post given the thread title change. No way is the Apple Watch replacing my Tudor, Rolex, Hamilton and Sinn watches.

It's a $35 Timex that I got because I wanted to get two watches (I have the matching one with a black band and silver outer band) so I could match with almost any outfit. I have had more expensive watches before (nothing crazy, max $200) but have always misplaced them, hence why I didn't want to invest a ton in a watch.

I've had the timex for ~2 years now so I'm excited for the Apple Watch as it seem's I've moved on from losing watches.

Why did you change the thread title from 'Show us the watch you're currently wearing' to 'Show us the watch you are currently wearing that will be replaced by Apple Watch'?
No way in the world will the AW replace my Rolex Sea-Dweller.....

Because that was the intention of this thread.

You should always read the first post before joining in. ;)

This is my Breitling Super Avenger behemoth. The Apple Watch will not replace it for special occasions, but the daily uses of the Breitling is definitely about to go waaay down.

Interesting is that this watch is also a mechanical smart watch. The back of the case shows how to convert units of jet fuel from Imperial to SI units and back. It's etched into the titanium screw cap. Accuracy of the movement is still about 4 seconds per day after 5 years of near daily use, which sounds laughably bad compared to a digital watch, but think about all the mechanical pieces in there doing there thing and it's pretty neat...in a nostalgic kind of way.

Rolex Submariner Steel with black bezel. Love this watch because it never RUNS OUT OF BATTERY!

Glad I got the sport watch because I think I'll still use this from time to time.

Btw the pic is not of my arm, because my arm is not as nice...Image

never runs out of battery (/power)? - what happens to it if you let it sit on a desk for a couple of days unattended? ;) i have a self winding watch and that thing is a pain in the butt!!! When the apple watch de-juices - plug it in and everything comes back to where it was with no fiddling!!!!!! :)

An automatic movement can be placed Ina winder :)

The watch my girlfriend got me for our 2 year anniversary. Thankfully she's very understanding of my love for tech so there are no hard feelings about it getting replaced by a SS Apple Watch with a link band. :D

Show us the watch you are currently wearing that will be replaced by the Appl...

- meaning it needs to be charged nightly if not worn - same as the apple watch - that was the point i was making.

Haha sure.
Things that move requires energy input.
That's just physics.

However, power reserve can be much higher than 18 hours on mechanical watches (I've seen up to 10 days or more)

Been wearing this guy for a couple years, and an even cheaper Timex before this. I love wearing a watch, and was about to buy a nicer one when The Apple Watch was announced.

$30 TIMEX. I have never spent more than $40 on a watch lol. I'm so excited for my new and very expensive (to me) :apple: Watch lol

I'm more likely to be wearing my apple watch during the day and my "real" watch when I go out at night, idk I just think wearing an apple watch at a bar or club or fancier restaurant would look kinda silly.

Soleus vs. Watch

This Soleus is by far the best watch I have ever owned––two years in and it still looks great and works perfectly--but the 42mm Space Grey Sport with Black Sports Band can't get here fast enough for me.

So many of us on this thread are updating from a round face to the rectangular Watch; it will be interesting to see how (or if) we notice the change.
